Do I have the SR5 or TRD sport?

I just bought a 2006 DCLB taco last weekend. It only has the SR5 badge and no TRD sport sticker on the back. However, the truck does have 17'' wheels with the same rounded groves as a sport, a trany cooler, color keyed grill, bumper and color key rearview mirrors. From what I have read that sounds like the TRD Sport does it not....? I'd like to know if someone just took the TRD sport stickers off for the clean look or did toyota make the SR5 with the same options. Anyways thought i'd ask and see if anyone can shine some light on this topic. Thanks Fellas!

 

Does it have color matched rear bumper and scooped hood?

No pic of truck makes this difficult to answer. I'm sure that there are some TW Yota's here that can tell you by rubbing two sticks together though.

 

Do you have a bed outlet? Yes - TRD Sport. No - SR5
Do you have TRD seats(Thigh and side extended, mesh padding)? Yes - TRD Sport.No -SR5
Do you have an LSD oil only sticker on your rear diff? Could be either, but TRD Sport would have it
Do you have blue and yellow bilstein shocks? Yes - TRD Sport. No - SR5

 

Color matched bumpers, grill, side mirrors is enough to say likely TRD Sport otherwise a nodded SR5 which is less likely, no? SR5 can have a scooped hood too for a price, and color match. Only way to know is VIN, but sounds like TRD so far. Much can be swapped

 

Sorry I dont have any pic yet so you might have to bust out the sticks and start rubbing....lol. It does have a hood scoop as well and color matched bumper. Ill check the shocks LSD sticker and get back to you guys. Also, it does have a bed liner and the 115.

 

Ok, Bilstien shocks and the LSD sticker on the back of the differential. The seats are the extended mesh as well. So, this truck has all the likings of a Sport why no TRD Sport sticker on the back? Ill work on the pictures for you guys.

So you could have both.

 

Sport. Some years pre 2011 (I think) they put the SR5 badge on too.

 

Ok cool! good to know for towing reasons. Even though I researched this truck before I bought it I didn't find out about the towing capacity until after I bought this one. Imagine how pissed I was. Now much happier now that I know I can tow something with it if needed. Thanks for the help fellas! Any double din stereo suggestions DVD NAV XM radio Bluetooth. No bedliner. The bed itself is SMC composite.

 

Its not like the rino liner its looks like one of those plastic fit in bed liners.

Yeah, you can have an SR5 and a Sport. I shoulda said just an SR5. I have both as well

Op- You have a TRD Sport. Someone took the stickers off. I did the same thing. The sticker stood out a bit too much for me. I think its a clean look without them.
