Hello, I’m new to Tacomaworld and was digging around for some information about regular cab lifts and I can’t seem to find anyone else with my situation. I have a 2008 Tacoma Regular Cab Base and I don’t know if I should lift it or not. I have an ARE camper in the back and sometimes feels like my 4cyl has a hard time with so much weight on the back, especially when I have bikes & stuff in the camper. Occasionally I go on some light trails with friends to go camping. I think a suspension lift kit would help support the weight better as well as better off road performance. I also think it would look better if the lift was evened out and maybe 3in. I’m not sure if I should even get this or not so that’s why I’m asking if anyone has any recommendations for me. Thanks!E70A0C99-82EA-4940-A367-BFA661C8DAE6.jpg50647C58-7ED4-46CD-9058-12DE2A51E9A6.jpg 69DE5983-8C56-4D66-9DAF-B3B963EE74BB.jpg

Welcome to TWorld! What's your budget? My initial thought - depending on how much you want to spend, you may be best off trading for a 4x4 or pre-runner...just based on your camping and light off-roading needs.

Dumping lots of money into a single cab 2wd may not be worth the squeeze.

I’ve been looking for a new 4x4 Tacoma for months now and I’m pretty picky when it comes to spending money on a new truck so I’m still waiting around for the right one. For now I’m happy with the Tacoma I have now and it gets me where I need to go. I’m not looking to spend too much on a lift kit and right now I’m looking at the rough country 3in one for $500 but I’m not sure if it would even solve my issue with the camper and if it even makes all that much of a difference on trails.

You have to make sure the lift is for a 5lug truck rather than a six lug, as the components are different. There's not a ton out there
