I am going to be throwing on ome dakars and bilstein 5125's on my truck next week. Are extended brake lines necessary?

Depends on shock length. With the 8.5 5125s you may get by for a bit but if their longer then definitely. Just spend the $40 and have no worries.

As Devin said, it depends on what shocks you're running. I have the Dakar with the extra load leaf, and run the suggested Nitrocharger Sport shocks. I bent down the brake line bracket on the frame for an easy 1-2" of extra slack and even at full droop, the lines aren't being stressed.

The Nitrochargers are definitely acting as limiting straps, so if you're running anything longer then I would say an extended brake line is required.

It would be a good idea! Plus the ss lines help with pedal feel quite a bit.
