Hello, I own a 2017 trd off road tacoma and recently purchased the 2016-2022 Toyota Tacoma XB LED Headlights. Do I need any type of harnesses or is it complete plug n play ?

These the headlights with the built in LED's that can't be changed ? If so, arn't you guys worried one will fail, then you'll have to change the whole headlight unit to get lights working ? Makes more sense to buy headlights with changeable led's ?

No such thing for the Tacoma. Drop in LED bulbs are hot garbage.

Congrats on lowering the lighting performance of your truck. Did you even read the thread?

The brighter and whiter LED's are NICER on my eyes.

BTW, no need to jump down my throat.

I apologize if you've taken it that way, but the OP of that thread has done EXTENSIVE testing on headlight bulbs. Tons of foreground light tells your brain that your headlights are better, but distance throw (what actually matters) points a much different story.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...11-projector-headlights.589465/#post-19689309

Start at this post in the thread and look at the 18' and 42' lux values. Most LED bulbs can't match the OEM halogen, let alone the $20 H9 halogen mod.

Haven’t noticed any to date. It’s parked outside around the clock. They’ve only been installed for a couple months, I’ll let you know if I start seeing condensation.

People like to point to that thread like it is their bible. And like the Bible, they choose to pick out the parts they like, and disregard the parts they don’t. See post #3894 and #1579 on that thread. The Morimoto and the Hikari are good performing drop in LEDs.

The only thing I would remember to do, is to install the fuse in the INJ slot and not the EFI slot.

Morimotos manual says EFI but that's incorrect; otherwise your headlights will turn on randomly.
