Do I need longer shocks for 2" lift?

    '97 4x4 Xtra cab
    PaceSetter Headers, 50 series Flowmaster, 31 x 10.50 Michelins, Bushwacker 1.5" Fender Flares
    1997 Taco, Xtra cab 4X4, 2.7L. Thinking of 2" blocks for rear suspension, but I just replaced my rear shocks recently. I read that longer shocks are needed for a 3" lift, but nothing about a 2" lift. Can Anybody help me out?

    you don't need them, but they do give better ride quality

    King 2.5" extended travel coilovers with compression adjusters, Camburg UCA's, King 2.5" rear shocks, TRD 1st gen CAI.
    no, you'll be fine. you dont even need them for 3" lifts
