Just walked out to my truck and noticed that there was a significant lean, the left rear is 1.75” lower than the right rear.

I haven’t been towing or hauling heavy loads (though I do have a RTT). I haven’t really even off-roaded this truck all that much (and haven’t for over a year.

Do leaf springs simply fail like this? Only 32,000 miles.

Not enough information. Climb under the truck and take pictures of the suspension and post them up. Something can be broken, or your load can be unbalanced.

How is the front, level, or not? If front left is low, that will raise right rear. As mentioned more info needed.

Left rear, from the back and front, right rear from the back. It looks to me like the front of the left leaf dips down.

To answer the question about the front; everything is even/same on both sides.

I do have blocks under the rear springs & had planned on going with a better option later, just wasn’t quite ready.

Nothings seems broken from a visual inspection - just seem to be sagging on the left rear

I have to ask the obvious question… is there more weight on one side of the truck than the other?

Also, how did you measure the difference in ride height?

Those springs have not failed, they’re loaded, and the OE springs seem to be more geared to ride comfort, than actually hauling anything. Blocks don’t help things either.

Id put some sort of a add a leaf of leaf pack like Deaver. so your truck can actually bounce up and down a bit. Is the truck bottoming out easily in the rear? Looks like the shocks are doing all the work because of your blocks.

    Full tank atm…

I measured from the ground to the bottom of the fender flares.
I suppose there is more weight, as someone pointed out - I do have a full tank of gas - so….normal?

I do have blocks, and that’s not optimum, but I don’t know that it affects the shocks…or maybe it does? Idk

1.75” does not sound normal for a stock taco. I have read many reports of .5-1 “ difference left to right.

Yeah, and ditch those spacer blocks and get a pair of leaf springs to suppose your set up.

I would love to do that today. And I would also love to have a really nice full suspension package if I could afford that. Some things just have to wait though. :turtleride:

It’s level in the front, no leaning or anything from left to right.

Yes, the upper control arms, coil springs, and shocks are Rough Country. Are you insinuating that this is the reason that the leaf springs might sag?

I would check the droop and make sure one of the shocks isn't bound up and preventing full extension due to some internal binding. Drive each side of the rear up on a curb, separately, and make sure you have full articulation in both directions.

20230805_114747.jpg I'll agree 1.75" doesn't seem "normal" and stock springs are no bueno.
I recently added blocks with stocks and had .5" of lean before, unloaded and .5" after.
To help the crappy springs I added some medium sumo springs. They help take some load off.
