TacoLife08 helped me out! this is what i sent and this is what he said back...makes a lot of sense!

ME::::::::: Hey i am wanting to lift my 2002 prerunner and thought you could maybe help me out. I can get spindles to give me 3 inches of lift and i wanted to get bilsteins and have them turned up to give me 5.5 inches of lift...is that possible? and if it is would i need new uca?[/QUOTE]

HIM::::::::I see that you have a First Gen Taco, I don't know exactly how the suspension differs but I'm going to assume that in relation to lifts they are relatively the same. Spindles are a great choice of lift for your truck and because of the type of lift it is your suspension will retain its stock geometry for up to the amount of lift the spindle provides, in your case 3". Now, at least for my truck I am able to ride with as much as 3" above stock geometry. So, as long as that still applys to your truck, an additional 2.5" should be fine for attaining an in spec wheel alignment after the truck goes up. So no you will not "Have" to get new UCA's however if you cont to research lifts around the 3" range you'll find the guys on this forum will suggest new UCA's. From my own experience I have not needed them. Anyway, Hope this helps and shoot me any other questions you may have, I'll do my best to answer em.

Yeah i just read the whole forum! A guy asked if he could get those and put a 3 inch spacer on with it and they said you could but no reason to if you wheel ( which i cant since there is no place here to do so). However i was reading on the website and they said the spindles require a 1'' uniball uca. So now my only question is, Are the UCA from toytec a 1'' uniball!

Everything he said is correct except on first gens, as of now Solo Motorsports is the only company with a lift spindle as opposed to a number of them for 2nd gens. On 2nd gens some of the spindles can be run with upper ball joints. That being said Solo specifically states in the ad that 1 inch upper uniballs are necessary to run theirs.

wow this is a prime example of what this forum is all about. a person has a question that cant be answered. he posts up on TW, a bunch of complete strangers spend their precious free time doing research and helping this person out and not leaving one question unanswered. TW FTW!!!

    great job TW

nothing, all stock expect got a OE replacement air filter K&N.
its better to have it than not having and save yourself from troubles. otherwise, you don't need it until you have the cash to get it.
