I recently installed a rough country 3” suspension lift on my 2019 OR. I’m not heavily into off-roading so I did it mainly for looks. I am pretty impressed so far with the ride quality. Also did some off-roading with it and it performed very well. My question is, should I purchase new UCA for the truck? I am going to be putting 33s on and then have the alignment done.

Remind me... Is the rough country a spacer lift?

Since all you did was put a block and spacer on the truck idk why you would think it would ride different....you literally did not change any shock or spring so you still have the same suspension as you did stock lol

Might want to do some more research, there is alot more to lifting these trucks than just installing a set of coilovers or spacers. Good luck with your truck.

For the first 6 months since new I ran my truck originally with a 3" spacer lift and had several adventures in the desert without issues. I have the lifetime alignment with Firestone and never once needed the adjustment of the UCAs when I had that lift. So my answer is no you don't need them for your use as long as the alignment can get into spec. And yes I ran 33s.

Later I installed the full OME bp-51 suspension kit and I do feel having the adjustable UCAs helped when tweaking the suspension to my liking and the addition of a lot weight. I'm 30k miles into my current setup.

Most people stay away from Junk Country or Pro Chomp spacer lifts. Not saying it's garbage but there are so many better options out there that aren't overly expensive. Sounds like you did zero research though, so good luck to you my friend.

I actually did do a good amount of research. Believe me I know rough country are not top of the line but for what I’m using it for it’s great. And their quality has gotten far better than what it used to be. Again not the best by far but not bad either. I find your response of me not doing research a bit uncalled for. We are all here for the same reason. So good luck to you my friend.

I guess RC is trying to get into the coilover market now?

It’s not a bad set for the price. Gives a pretty decent ride and it was more than capable when I took it Offroad. Again I did it for looks. It really levels out the truck very nicely. I just didn’t know if getting new UCA was pointless or a good idea. I’ve heard it kinda go either way.

If your truck gets aligned fine and the UCA is not hitting your coilover on full droop then you dont need them

Also keep in mind you don't want an in spec since you are lifted, especially if you want to 33's. Then you want as high caster as you cant get, and with 33's you might need a CMC ( Cab Mount Chop ) and some possible trimming of other things.

That’s the other thing I’ve heard mixed things about. Some people say with a 3” lift I can fit 33s with minor trimming of inner fender and some say I’ll need the cmc.
