Looking to lift my 2018 TRDOR DCSB and I am between the stage 3 and stage 4 kit. The truck is my daily driver and I go wheeling about twice a month. At what point would I need RR's?

A shock absorbers main function is to convert kinetic energy to heat and then dissipate that heat into the atmosphere. Remote reservoir shocks have a larger oil capacity thus have the ability to absorb more energy. If you are not going to push the vehicle hard for extended periods of time, the IFP coilovers will provide plenty of performance over stock while not being overworked to the point of shock fade.

Thanks for the reply. I ended up going with the stage 4. Better to have them and not need them than need them and not have them I guess!

I'm on the fence too...between the Stage 3 and Stage 4. Correct me if I am wrong, Stage 3 comes with RRs ONLY on the rear shocks, correct? Stage 4 is RRs all around, right?

Pretty much same driving situation as @kwolf9202 as well, daily driver with some frequent wheeling but on a 2017 TRDOR DCSB.

    Later.

Unless you plan to run the dessert for 10+ hours in a day, the RR's probably wont come into play. I think 2.5s will be good enough for what your planning. However if you have the coin, and you like having the option (+ compression adjustment capability), go for what you want and dont let anyone tell you that youre making a bad decision.
