    Nothing wrong with the 2.7. Depends on usage and expectations.

    @Aust1n11

    I don't know if you have noticed but up top in the 'sticky posts' there is a ton of good info. Maintenance tips, tips on your traction control, etc.

    Look at the top of this forum. The first thread is titled "what have you done to your 3rd gen today". There are a dozen or so threads under it. That is the 3rd gen sticky threads section.

    Ok cool and would you have any idea why my truck makes a grinding noise when I accelerate from a stop ? That’s my whole reason I asked about regearing

    Oh boy. No I don't at this point. I do suggest you start a new thread based on "grinding when accelerating". Give as many details/symptoms as possible.

    Are you spinning tires when accelerating from a stop? If you are there may be a reason for the grinding.

    No I drive like an old man and it still does it if I accelerate from a stop slow it doesn’t do it . If I accelerate like a normal person it does it now if I give it some gas my truck kinda vibrates a little but still no grind. It only does it when I accelerate a certain way like a normal driver

    @stun gun

    He's one of our resident 2.7 experts. Maybe he can chime in with a suggestion. Otherwise I'd say exercise your warranty rights and see a dealer.
