A base model would be a 5-lugger. The listed is an SR5 model.

RIP to my 08 Prerunner DC
Can't you get a DC with 4x4 and no SR5. I thought SR5 was only a trim package.

I've already discussed this. Not to be an ass but it isn't an SR5. You are confusing cab size and drivetrain for a trim-level. SR5s have paint matched fenders and front bumpers. An easier way to tell is that SR5s have a badge which says, you guessed it "SR5." This one does not.

    It is a base model 4x4. Trust me. I own a non-SR5 4x4.

Not impossible but jesus you'd have to drive 55,000 miles per annum, why in the hell would you purchase a brand new 4x4 base Tacoma just to drive all over God's grey highway for two years and then dump it to a shady dealer?

Has OP heard back from the dealer?

travel back and forth across the widest part of the united states 32 times in 2 years. Yup. Sure not impossible, but you think he'd be driving a kenworth in that case.

No email is required in my opinion. Dealer has a 100% rating. We aren't the ebay police, I'm sure the dealer doesn't care about someone who already owns a Tacoma sending them an email about something they really aren't interested in and sending a link to a forum where others are bashing his posting. Let it go, keep the confrontations to a minimum and enjoy you're OWN Tacoma. My .02

How can it have 285's mounted , and the front mudflaps ?

The tires have never turned a corner or those flaps would be gone .

    so...

sorry if it's a repost, i didn't see it when searching with my phone.

no response to my email, yet.

and for the person that posted the other tacoma from the same dealer, nice! i'm glad that one has a spray in bedliner...

the reason for my original post is that i really just hate shady people. i cannot believe that a business owner is this unknowledgeable and that someone will suffer from their ignorance.

people are ignorant. someone needs to step up because continuing to ignore the problem leaves us with a society i'd rather not be a part of. when i went to look at a new 4 runner for my wife the salesman said that there wasn't a 4x4 anywhere in the tri-state area and the best that i could do was what they had on the lot. we were standing in front of a limited 4x4...
