Just received the OME 3" lift for my 2012 DC TRD Sport and I'm just about settled on Nitto Terra Grapplers. If I go with 285/70/17s will I need wheel spacers/adapters? This truck is a daily driver and will see little to no off-roading. If spacers are required how thick? I've been back and forth on 265-285 but the 265/70s just seem a little small with the lift.

BTW if anyone has pics with this tire (both sizes) on factory sport wheels and 3" lift please post.

    Thanks

Yes, you will need to use adapters to run 285s on the stock wheels otherwise the tires will rub on the UCA. A min. of 1" will cure it. Just decide how wide of stance you prefer. 1.25-1.5" adapters are more common to find.

Thanks. I failed to mention that I also bought the LR UCAs from Toytec. Will that make any difference?

The stock wheels have too much backspacing. If i remember correctly, I believe the LR UCA actually provide less clearance than the stockers. Although I'm not 100% sure, but that's what I remember.

    You have 3 choices
    - run adapters
    - buy new wheels with less bs
    - run 265s or look into 255/80/17 for a 33" tall and skinny
