Ok, so I pulled the OME Carrier Bearing Drop off and I still have vibes but not from 20mph on....rather it starts at like 25mph on
I think I'm going to just get the 3 degree shims and give that a try. This is a pita....I have to have this driving smooth before the 19th of this month. argh

So, just to clarify... you currently have Axle Shims & Carrier Bearing Drop installed and have no vibrations?

Could be the needle bearing on the drivers side cv. that vibe starts at around 25 mph. Do some research on that if the shim doesnt help.

Well, I'm replacing both CV Axles with a pair of CVJ Axles possibly this Thursday. If it's the Needle Bearing, wouldn't that take care of it?

Its in the differential. The other side of the axle.

Oh, gotcha. I'm currently looking that he thread you suggested. I'm praying my issue isn't the Needle bearing. I really don't want to be messing with that before my trip up north. Thank you for the info though.

I'm throwing this link in the thread for possible future usage(cringe):

Needle Bearing Fix per Chase @ East Coast Gear Supply

I believe fastest way and how we do it.
    1. Remove Wheel
    2. Remove Dust cap to access CV nut
    3. Remove Cotter pin and CV nut
    4. Remove 2 Lower Bolts that Hold Spindle to LCA
    5. With Spindle Loose Pull out and away from CV shaft, CV shaft is now only connect to diff, Take Bungy cord and secure Spindle with rotor caliper ect. out of the way towards the front of the vehicle
    6. Take a punch or screw driver, Place it on metal portion of CV shaft and Wack it with hammer to release it from diff. (You can use a pry bar to pop it out but it will bend dust cover)

if you feel like above method does not allow enough movement of spindle assembly remove the tierod nut and tierod also.

I would try shims first but if you replacing axles it would make sense to pull the bearing out since its right there.

Question. Are you running the same rims and tires as before the list. If not, it could be a wheel balance issue. Also how was your alignment. Also a common vibe creator.

Yeah, same rims & tires. I honestly think it's a driveline issue... but, I will certainly look into the other possibilities.

I just ordered 3 degree shims from WheelersOffroad

Nice I have the 3 degree too. Diagnosing vibes is the hard part. Fixing them is easy. I have spend days/ weeks trying new things to get rid of vibes. Its so rewarding when they are gone. :)

Ok, I found out I have excessive play in my drivers side cv axle. I'm now under the impression that is the cause of my vibration issue. Having a tech at a local 4WD shop look at it....my driveline seems fine. All the vibrations is coming from up front. Time to install new Axles from CVJ, a Needle Bearing replacement from ECGS, and new hub assemblies from nj636. I'm really hoping that once I have all that installed, my vibration issues go away.

I installed the Dakars on my '15 DCSB, and forgot to purchase 3degree shims prior to install. The lift did come with the CB drop which I installed. The lift feels better than stock, but I believe there is a slight vibration upon taking off. I'll try to look at the angles and remove the CB drop first and see what happens.

Ive been battleing ny vibes for awhile. I installed my dakars with 3 degree shims. And the CB drop. Had take off vibes. And no vibe around 25 mph. Then i i removed the cb drop to get the 2 rear ujoint angles closer to eachother, and that made it better but still had the take off shudder.
So now i removed the shims and have a 1/2" spacer on the drivers side leaf pack for the taco lean i had.
And ive tryed dropping the cb from 0 to 3/4"
And found about 9/16" or 5/8" is where its liveable for me. Still there but about 85% gone.
It sucks! But i notice any little vibe. I may just end up getting a 1 piece driveline made like i did for my last Taco.

No shims or CB drop here, have had my OME for over a year and no vibes from the rear yet.

do you have any modifications to the springs? Like overload removed or 3 leaf removed?
I'm having a bitch time trying to get rid of mine. I may have to just get a one piece DL which sucks.

No. I didn't modify the springs at all. I did, however, cut out the factory shackle hanger and installed a shackle flip kit.
