Wii = fun drunken times with friends (social gaming)

360 = first person shooters/adventure games (serious gamer)

ps3 = no clue, I dont have one yet

aside from stuff like using it more for personal or in a party type atmoshere, and the quality of your tv resolution and if you prefer a higher def, and if you play online --

the type of gamer you are will make a big difference. same issue like for the PSP and DS series.

if for example you like shooters, the wii has a few good games (and is very capable), but nothing compared to xbox and ps2/3. on the other hand with the wii, the shooters can actually be "easier" to use with the motion chuck and gun attachment. the xbox and ps2/3 will require left and right stick movement on the controller; one for movement and one for view. many people who didn't grow up on playstation find this hard to master. but hardcore shooter gamers generally prefer this type. but the wii shooter ui/hardware is generally easier for the less hard core shooter gamer.

if you prefer non shooter games, then the wii def has a large selection (as does xbox).

the other issue is if you want to go online and play, as there is a difference.

i have both and have played at some point, most of the games on each.

surprizingly, the wii sports (resort) and fit are pretty fun and seem like decent exercise.

Wii is ok. My five year old son loves it. Like others have said, when others come over it's fun. Bowling, tennis etc are fun. My son loves Lego Star Wars.. I actually like it too. For $199 it's a pretty good deal. I'm not sure what 360's cost. I would say if you have people over frequently or have young ones, than a Wii will be fun for all.

i have both. i dont use any of them. the wii graphics suck but is alot of fun with the wife of friends.bought the wii fit as well. set it up and never got on it.lol any game system gets old.the ps3 is down to $299 and has some sweet car/truck offroading and dirtbike games. xbox i think is more for sports. with the xbox you have to worry about the red eye(been there done that)

Red ring of death. Mine was DOA new out of the box. Yay Microsoft!

It was so common for awhile there that they actually had to halt doing repairs because they ran out of shipping boxes to send to customers. The shipping boxes were nicknamed "cardboard coffins".

Fortunately mine's been running well for about 2 years now.

I have both a Wii and a Xbox.. and I play the hell out of the 360 and only really use the Wii when a group a friends is over and we play the Wii sports or Wii party.. Rockband stuff.. other than that for playing games by myself or "real" sports games I stick to the Xbox.. I tried playing Madden on the Wii and I became annoyed with having to throw the ball myself and not getting "realistic" results.
