heh, yeah, my 2001 E150 (same drive train as a f150) ate 3 transmissions in 25000 miles of light duty. WTF?? my friend has a GMC Yukon XL (Suburban) and on his 3rd transmission in not very many miles. WTF? I'm used to my 80s/90s euro wagons maybe needing a minor rebuild in 250k miles of aggressive driving if you aren't religious about transmission fluid changes.

My preferred response to "why didn't you buy a man sized truck" is " I dont have to compensate for anything". Just my 2 cents.

I bought a single cab because it is what I need and best serves my use. Better fuel mileage than a larger truck and still moves what I use it for.
