No one has given me crap for driving a Toyota truck. Everyone I know likes the vehicle and is happy for me that I bought it.

The way I see it - If I'm layin' down big money for a vehicle...I'm going to get one that will run fairly problem free until I WANT to get rid of it...Haven't been able to do that with any of the GM products I've owned...

Amen, Sullyman. Ironically, the "American Way" entails capitalism; as consumers we have the choice to buy the best products out there. This arises from competition. Toyota knows how to compete. End of story

Nope. Most people don't have the nerve to say ignorant shit to my face anyway and my friends know I've had this truck for 3.5 years with absolutely no problems so what can they say when their Chebbies and Fords are in the shop all the time.

I drive what's best for me, not what's best for unions.

That Camaro is built entirely in Canada, the whole damn thing, my Tacoma (yours too), was bulit in Fremont, California, by AMERICAN UNION WORKERS, who put AMERICAN FOOD on AMERICAN TABLES to feed AMERICAN FAMILIES, so you tell me which one is an AMERICAN car????

If you live anywhere near a Toyota, Nissan, or Honda factory nobody says a thing to you for owning one. I know southern Indiana has at least one Toyota and one Honda plant, so to those people, buying a "Japanese" car supports the local economy more than buying a GM, Ford, or Dodge.

If I remember right, Toyota is the "Official Vehicle of the Indianapolis Colts." Wish they'd sponsor the Lions! Haha :D

No one has ever given me any crap ever about any of my "foreign" cars (Toyota, Mitsubishi, Subaru, Volkswagen) Of course every where I have lived those were the majority of the cars on the road (California and Boulder, Colorado). When I took a road trip to South Dakota from California (in a Saturn) I couldn't believe all the domestic cars on the road outside of California. Even in the rural wilds of Northern California many of the red-neck tobacco chewing aggi wrangler jean cowboy-hat types drive Tundras and Titans. My girlfriend at the time a few years back had a Ford and that thing was the biggest piece of shit I have ever seen. I couldn't believe the cheap low-quality parts on that thing. And the engineering was absurd (for example you couldn't lift the wipers more than 1/2 inch to clean the windows). I am convinced that Ford makes disposable cars and uses the "American made" thing to sell their crap to suckers. They totally have the ability to make quality vehicles that last but they don't because they make more money selling thier loyal customers (brain-washed suckers) a new car every three years.

Bilstein 5100's all round (0" up front with stock springs), 265/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs, K&N 63 Series Aircharger Kit, Flowmaster Super 44 Muffler, Delta Champion Toolbox, fog lights, back-up lights, Sirius satellite radio with PA15-TOY, Midland 1001z CB radio with 2' Firestik II antenna, Weathertech floor mats, AVS sill protectors, Marathon SuperHides Seatcovers (Universal Digital Camo), trimmed front mud flaps, Viair 20005 OBA, Warn W650D driving lights and W650F fog lights on N-Fab light bar, Hi-Lift X-treme jack with off road accessories, TracRac "TracONE" system

Actions generally speak louder than words. My buddy and the guys at work ALWAYS rag on me for driving my "little toy truck" around, but the tune changed when I pulled his F-150 out of the snow in his driveway. Now I have ammo to kill the abuse they fire my way :).

Just wait until he needs your truck...

    Where in ON are you?

I moved from CO to South Dakota about a year ago, and I've never seen so many american made sedans. Being in Colorado for so long, it is rather strange seeing so many Impalas and Montes. Tuck wise, its all F250s and Rams, and they floor it from stop sign to stop sign.

Nobody has ever said anything directly about my taco, but I have noticed a lot of dirty looks (jealousy?), and in conversation the response to yes I have a Tacoma, is most often that disappointed sounding "oh".

I always get shit for driving my Tacoma, they say it isn't a manly truck. I just say I don't need to drive a big ass truck. Then later I tell them I heard people who drive big trucks have a small tool.

My twin brother has a 2010 Chevy Silverado access cab. He gives me "Toyotas are import shit" all the time. He will still take it out for a drive once and a while. He admits that my truck is way more fun to drive. Although I admit that his is far nicer quality.

I don't care what someone else thinks. What others think about me is none of my business.
