Do Pro Comp 7069 rims fit with no issues?

I need new rims this week for my second gen DCSB with OME 88s's, Dakar leafs, 255/85/16 KM2's.

I like the look of the Pro Comp 7069 rims. The part number is 7069-6883, they have a 4" backspace and a -12mm offset.

Do these clear the brake calipers?

Nobody with a second gen is running these in 16"?

 

Cool, I need to get them ordered. I saw a review that said it cleared as well. What lug nuts did you use?

I have pro comp rims not the same as theses they fit fine but the center cap would not work....make sure the center cap matches the bore!

I know this is an old post, but have you had balancing issues with these wheels? I have the 7069 (16 inch) and have had tons of issues balancing with the KO2s. Techs seem to think it’s the wheels and not the tires.

 

I am actually looking at these as well, let me know if you get it figured out.

 

Will do. Techs just seem to think its a rim issue. Some sort of slight bend that cant be seen by the naked eye possibly. Super hard to tell. I guess Pro Comp may just be a brand to stay away from all together. Some people have problems, some dont... But, It may be worth looking into a different brand. Its really too bad because I love the look of these rims and look exactly like they do the first day they were installed 3 years ago.

 

Yeah I’m just looking for something cheap that I can spend around $400 for aluminum wheels. And cheap to replace if needed. In Alaska wheels get torn up so it’s pointless to get nice wheels. Look forward to hearing more info from you though!

You ever mount these wheels? Ive heard about the 16x8” contacting calipers. Well some say yes some say no. If so do you have any pictures with the 255s by chance? Thanks for any help

 

Ive had no problems with caliper clearance with my 16x8 pro comps. You could always measure your caliper diameter to make sure they clear. Just eye balled mine on the truck (didnt want to take my wheels off) and the inside rim diameter is about16-17 inches. You should have plenty of caliper clearance no matter what model you have.

I believe they are actually 4.5" BS. So if you go with 4's they should clear even better... If I am understanding BS correctly haha. You could always order one rim and just dry fit it on your truck before mounting up the tires. If they are good to go, then buy the other 3. Might be more of a PITA than that's worth, though.

 

I’m about to get some of these on Wednesday. Got an 06 with heavy OME lift, lr ucas and arb up front. 4wheel parts is doing the install since I got them through them. Will update if balancing issues. They showed me work logs from several trucks here in Texas who had these installed with no issues, fingers crossed!
