So I was driving and a guy in a Tacoma flag me down and ask me what year was my taco .. told him a 06 he told me there's. recall for the headligh cues they burn ? He got his replace for free.. i just was at the dealership couple weeks ago for a trans flush and they didn't mention anything about a recall .. so i went online and I found there was a recalls for the headlight .. even found a post here at TW about the headlight recall but it was coupe years ago .. so i called Toyota dealership had them run my vin number and told me there's no recall .. so can recalls expire? If not what do I do ??

It is not a recall. It is a Warranty Enhancement as stated here:

    http://www.toyoheadquarters.com/thr...urned-headlight-warranty-enhancement-ztz.272/

Subject: Toyota Tacoma Warranty Enhancement Program- ZTZ
Certain 2005 – 2011 Model Year Tacoma Headlight Assembly Inner Lens Distortion/Bubbling

In these vehicles, Toyota has received some reports where the inner Daytime Running Light/Turn Signal Lens becomes distorted and bubbled in appearance, in addition the inner lens may appear cracked or separated.

Although the Headlamp assembly is covered by Toyota's New Vehicle Limited Warranty for 3 years or 36,000 miles (whichever occurs first), Toyota cares about the customers Ownership experience. Toyota is now extending the warranty coverage for the Headlamp assembly for the condition described in the covered vehicles. Please see the warranty enhancement program for details and additional information.

Owner notification: The owner notification will commence in early July 2014 and letters will be mailed over several months.

The Primary Coverage offers warranty enhancement until November 30,2015. Regardless of mileage.

After the primary coverage, the Secondary Coverage is applicable for 5 years from the date of first use or 70,000 miles, whichever occurs first.
