Only if my wife takes the truck out it gets compliments, and the only visible mod it has is a set of ditch lights. Besides that its a stock SR5. Literally ALL THE TIME. Not one stranger has complimented the truck when I'm driving it -_-

    A bunch..and no build thread!
I had a cop at the beach tell me it was a nice truck.

He said, "Nice truck, where's your pants, sir?"

As others have mentioned there are so many Tacoma’s in my area that nobody notices my truck. The only compliments I have received on my truck have been on Tacoma World. Thanks guys.

I hear you… I frequently drive north on University from Arapahoe to Hampden. It’s incredibly rare that I don’t see at minimum - one 3rd gen Taco, one 5th gen 4Runner and a Tundra of some sort. Every time. Usually it’s multiples.

minor, TRD skid plate, front recovery points, Regken mud flaps, rear diff breather, AC drain pipe extended. Upgraded sound with active sub woofer, tonneau cover, CB radio.
All the time, average once at two weeks. Latest one was today after car wash, driver slows down and yells through lowered window
"Man, your truck look really sick!" Well, thanks!IMG_20220206_134611.jpg

Only been driving mine for a few days. Same as you. Seemingly always someone in a Tundra, 4Runner, or Taco. I did catch someone in a newer Ranger snap their neck passing while I was sitting at a stop light. I'm guessing it's the WCP, as it was rather sunny today. Sunlight plays cool tricks with this colour.

While I love my new OEM LED headlights, I will admit I got more stares (friendly or otherwise) when I had the Morimotos lol during the day those things were f*cking awesome with their bright ass DRL.

It was night driving where things got sketchy lol these days I don't even turn on my fogs anymore since the OEM reflector LEDs work their magic so much better...

Personally, I get compliments from other Tacomas fairly often. I'm in OR and there's tons of them everywhere here. All shapes, colors, models, etc. Ive also gone out of my way to compiment other tacos when i see slmething i like. Mine looks fairly stockish as a pavement princess but my SR5 does have:

    Predator Steps
Morimoto xb LED gen 2 headlights (White & amber drl switchs)
    Raptor lights
    TRD Pro Grill
    TRD Lift Kit
    TRD Pro "Sema" Wheels
    275/70/17 Falken wildleak at3w
    Trd pro tails
    Meso led tail kit
    Blackout sequential turns and emblems

Yes! I have gotten so many looks and compiments on my morimoto xbs. I haven't seen a single person in my city with them

I don't drive it all the time but when I do I have people make comments like nice truck or looking good. Some have asked questions but most of the comments are from the techs at the dealer or people waiting for their vehicle. Its like Toyota country around here with the Toyota dealership 5 miles from the house.

    None.
Dearborn is Ford Country - not a lot of Tacos. Compliments are few and far between. I bought my DCLB TRD-OR in Oregon and drove east on the TAT - lots of Tacos out west.

When I first picked up my truck in 2020, I didn't think anything of it since it was stock and I was coming from a heavily modded FJ. There are thousands of Tacos in my area too, so it's dime a dozen. But, apparently I was the first Army Green in the State and that got everyone crazy because I had people pulling up to me at lights chatting me and on the highway with the thumbs up and even women from work saying how much they loved the color. Pretty funny what color's do! lol
