Depends not every dealership offers below MSRP and how far out must a person go to obtain below MSRP? I believe if one is financing at these current rates, your savings are up in smoke...

I've been pissed at how new cars are sold for over 40 yrs. now. I guess they really aren't going to take my advice.

Dealers are trying to keep new inventory in stock. Dealers in my area are sold out of the most popular models. The Lexus dealer I visited back in August only had 5 new cars on the lot. Everything else was used.

Actually when i bought my wifes Lexus RX last June they had almost no new cars parked on the lot, but they actually had quite a few parked out of sight…..they do that here in Scottsdale, their new trick.

In days past sure. Nowadays it's what the market will bear.

I was pretty pissed I couldn't get more than $200 for the 10 year old Datsun 280ZX I drove as a teenager, it had low miles at 80K so at least the running gear was good for a transplant etc even though the body was rotted. Had a few people look at it and several offers, and that's what I could get for it at the time.

Treasure Coast is my dealer also. When I bought my truck in May of 2021 I got it for $2,700 below MSRP. They used to be reasonable to deal with for sales. Not any more, and I've told my salesperson as much.

It's funny how everyone claims to have gotten the deal of a lifetime when we actually all got screwed by paying $40k just for something to drive to work.

I lived in N Phoenix up until 2020. It is a Scottsdale / Phoenix trend. I ended up doing biz up in Prescott Valley when I bought my diesel. Small town and they take a personal check. Got total disrespect and games in Phoenix. That said - if you find that vehicle you want advertised at a price you can live with then do this.
Bring a printed copy from newspaper or a screenshot with you to the dealer. Tell them you are paying the advertised price. That if they put on extras then that should have been in the ad and it’s on them. I got my daughter a deal on a van out on the West side. Took 3 hours of haggling before they realized I wasn’t paying for pinstripes, tinted glass, undercoating or VIN etching.
The deals are there just be prepared to walk out or to play their game and wear them out over a few hours. Best of luck !

I read it several times, there is no valid context to somehow correlate the minivan crowd with whatever point you were attempting, and failing, to make.

Not sure where you got that photo, but it is a virtual certainty it didn't come from the minivan forum. That and I still don't see how your snarky post is anything but way out of context.

Subvented rates aren’t bad, I received 2.49% in October for my truck (48m).

I considered paying cash for my Tacoma, but with a 2.49% interest rate, I'd be losing money by paying cash.
