IMO the problem is in hybrid, where you have to marry two systems. An all electric I could potentially have faith in, depending on how the batts worked.

Maybe they'll make the hood/roof out of solar panels. Lots of guys here using solar to charge battery packs already.

I saw that, even dumber considering the tiny savings.

Just like the ugly ass Honda ridgeline.
It looks like a Honda minivan got the rear roof chopped. The ugly Hilux looks like a Rav4 got carved up.
    Just saying!

It’s soooo ugly. I could never get past that no matter how awesome of a truck it was otherwise.

Keep in mind, a lot of those ranger sales were bought by companies, otherwise known as "Fleet Sales", because they were cheap to buy and lease. They will never come close to what Toyota has with the Tacoma. Coming from a guy that just traded his wife's 2005 2wd Access Cab for a 2018 Tacoma Dbl Cab SR5 "XP" package and I traded my 2012 2wd Dbl Cab SR5 for a 2018 Dbl Cab Tacoma 4x4 TRD Sport, yes 2- Tacoma owner and have been for years.

If you look close at the new Ranger, it is clear that they took a Tacoma and copied features from, just look at the shape of the grill for starters, it goes way beyond that if you look closely

A ton of companies in the Midwest use (fleet)
Tacoma trucks. I’m waiting for a few of those to be auctioned off. White extended cabs 2013-2015 with 4wheel drive

Why would you want a capless gas filler?

I've yet to see the benefit to those things. What moron can't screw on a gas cap?

Ever try filling up your gas when its cold outside? Freezing hands + unscrewing the gas cap = painful.

My wife’s car has a capless filler, seems like water can get in, car wash. Maybe that’s why it runs like crap . Not for me, no matter how cold it is outside.

    It's not that bad.

Ever try filling a capless filler with a gas can and no funnel?

Stripped down models and a fewf sr5's like here in Florida. But you will never find a cult like following for Rangers and if there ever is it will never ever come close to what Toyota has. I owned 3 different Rangers between 2001 to 2004 and had the 3.0L and 4.0L and they were junk and averaged about 9-12 mpg So I experience with both and Tacoma's are far superior and Ford Ranger will not come close.

FJ Cruisers and Tacoma's hold one of the highest value after 1yr and both are in the 70%-80% range after 5yrs.

    I’ll take my chances.
    Never thought about the
extra air bag deal. Figured the center steering wheel bag would cover some one up.
