do you care if your run channel is weathered and 'icky' from the sun? ... I may have good news!

after recently pulling one of these run channels out at the salvage yard it is definitely a trim piece i do not ever wish to replace from the weathered look to a new one, unless the window breaks or something and have to get in there anyways... and i believe the whole piece is a bit bigger than this diagram shows... it goes deep into the bowels of the door iirc

unfortunately i do not have any before pics, but it was definitely very grayish from where the sun apparently beats through while on the road (or parked in the sun possibly)

after about a week since i applied a couple of heavy coats with the sponge tip it makes a noticeable difference and maybe even adds 5 hp

it is cold out currently (low 40s) so I cannot comment about how it handles the hot summer temps but I will be interested to find out next year

the instructions say to reapply every 3 to 5 weeks

The cheapest option would be to use that tire shine crap. Apply heavily and multiple times to get full coverage using towel.

They're not that hard to swap out for new ones. I replaced both of mine when I painted my truck. It helps if you take off the door panel and remove the vapor barrier.
