Has anyone switched to a lighter tire/wheel combo and noticed different driving characteristics? I currently run Method NV (28lbs) and 285/70/17 Falken Wildpeak E (58.96lbs??). Total is lets say 90 lbs per wheel/tire combo. If I were to switch over to something like the rpt1 which is 18.5 lbs per rim. Only comes in a 16, so if I were to stick with 17" I know some brands are in the 22-24lb range. 285/17/17 C load bfg is 50lbs per tire. That saves ~12lbs rotational mass per corner. Mainly DD my truck and just like browsing the internet for things to buy lol

For sure I take into consideration. There are trade offs with everything. A stronger tire is going to weigh more, but that's piece of mind for you out on the trail. But I'd always look at it before making a decision, see if it makes sense for my needs

Planning to go from 315 toyo MTs to 37x12.50 toyo MT. Does this jump dramatically affect the IFS on our trucks? Would running a lesser weight of a tire help this?
