Depends. I like to drive slow in town most of the time and like a maniac out in the foothills. I don’t like being a weaving drag racer to the next stop light! I have just over 2,000 miles on mine. I like the transmission. It only hunts for gears until my foot tells it to stop worrying about an mpg regulatory goal and get what I need done. This seems to be a high quality precision engine. I’m not going to worry too much about the rpms.

From my experience with toyota trucks over the past 15 years... they love being rev'd hard and put away wet. Keep up on maintenance and they last forever.

Can say I’ve got the truck up to 6000 rpm with ease with ECT on.

The car that I really like to lead foot is my 93 isuzu. I guess I’m going to sell it now but this is a fun 2.3 liter all manual no power steering cable clutch 6 foot bed 1/2 ton hauling mini beast. Does donuts in a snowy church parking lot that would make Vin Diesel blush.

I drive my Tacoma like I have to pay the maintenance bills and use my own money to fill the gas tank.

I drive hypermiler style about 80% of the time. (I'm still playing the "What's the best mixed mileage I can get on a tank" game)

20% of the time or so, I push it hard (though I always try to keep shifting smoothly) I like to drive fast on logging roads from time to time and let these Fox shocks show they're worth something (I know, I know...overpriced untuneable TRDPro bs that they are)
