In short.. I've been hesitant on using entune cause I heard it's just a data guzzler.. what do you dislike or like about it?

Update: I got unlimited data. Are all the bugs flattened out yet?

I would recommend using it. This is how entune sends out their software updates. It's only going to use a lot of data if you're using the built in apps. Pandora and Iheart radio for example. They won't use much more than actually streaming from your phone though if you already are doing this.

The most data your going to use it is for streaming music. And it really doesn't use that much. I use Pandora on my work commute (30 to 40min, at least 14 days a month) and while on trips (at least 5 hours of use a month). This is all an underestimate. I also use the weather app daily. The stock app sporadically, and the search app on trips.
I also used my data for emailing, browsing the net, streaming Pandora while not in the car, and the occasional YouTube video now and then. I had never exceeded my 4gb data package.
Understand that I usually connected to my WiFi while at home and do not Facebook or use other social networking sites that occupy to much of one's time and data.

One of many reasons that I've fought so hard to keep my grandfathered unlimited data plan with Verizon. I have a Nexus 6 that doesn't have any of the Verizon software on it. Combine the ability to create a wireless hotspot for free with unlimited, unthrottled data and it made the 3200 mile road trip we just took bearable.

The girls streamed Netflix on their tablets and I rocked Pandora through Entune without fear of data caps for the whole trip. Looks like I racked up a little shy of 50gb for the trip. I can't tell what part of that was the Entune though.

Yeah... them bastards once you upgrade a phone and if you don't make it clear you want to hold onto your previous data plan they automatically switch it.. that's what I did rookie mistake lol

I like it. I routed the mic for the phone through the dash then up the passenger "A" pillar and set it where the factory mic is in the headliner console. I left the factory wired in I just unhooked it from the mount.

Didn't realize it had Auto Android till after, wasn't looking for it as an option.

Just make sure to order the iData link to retain the camera and steering wheel features.

Entune works fine as long as you have unlimited data IMHO.

No I dont. It was one of those things they tried to help me set up at the dealership, but I told them I didnt want them setting it up--that I would do it myself when I got home (so I could set it up the way I wanted). But I never got around to it.

I have my cell phone paired via bluetooth and that seems to do everything I need it to do.

Whats entune offer me? (thats a serious question--maybe i'll turn it on?).

Did you do the install yourself? I'm updating my base Entune (no SiriusXM option) on my own with a Kenwood DD. Had a dealer give me a list of harness, adapters, kit info that I would need. I'd appreciate any info you could provide to make it a little easier for me once I get rolling. Thanks.

I did it my self. I got the harnesses and all from Cruchfield, one stop shop. took my me all of about 3 hours. Most of that was splicing the harness to the head unit and routing the mic and satellite antenna. The splicing is easy to do, I have a bit of OCD in that department so it took me a bit longer to splice everything together. There are vids on YouTube on how to do it, and Cruchfield has people to help if you have an issue too.

The actual hooking the radio up to the truck took about 15 minutes after I ran the satellite antenna and the microphone.

If you already have the head unit. Crutchfield may/should have everything you need, and maybe at a cheaper price than the dealer.
