I'm running 285/75 on my 16" TRD Beadlock-style alloys that have a +10 offset. The Bilstein 5100's, AAL, and OME springs resulted in about 2.5" of lift - SLIGHT rubbing here and there, but under very specific conditions. I am currently shopping for "high-clearance" mud flaps because the stock flaps rubbed, but only in reverse

I went with the magnuson and have dyno'd it several times with the updates of YW tunes and Uptop Snorkel. Overall, I was able to dial in 390 hp at engine and I think (recall) something like 320 at wheels. I've been very happy with the results.

 

Nice looking truck! Yeah I'm running fendy-flaps in the front, and keep finding chips and knicks in the beautiful black paint!

 

A couple more questions for you - How long have you had it?

320whp is STOUT. I've read in some threads (mostly Reddit, which is a cesspool for miserable unemployed troll-people) that superchargers affect reliability/ longevity. What's been your experience?

 

I've had the supercharger on for over 30-35k miles and it has been 100% reliable (even doing long trips over 700 miles over 2 days). I'm about to change the belt next week and upgrade the coupler, but I'm doing it out of risk prevention. And I've never floored it as they say and never needed too. I can stand behind the product confidently. The overall feeling is that magnuson kept the PSIs low at 7-9 psi for the exact reason you query (reliability and long-term sustainment). I might be in a 4th gen if I hadn't upgraded the engine to be honest.

Nice - most folks mention OTT as their favorite. I really need to upgrade my 2017's head unit.

After 4.5 years of ownership, OTT, OEM auto locking tailgate, seat gap fillers, 2020 Tacoma model refresh with power drivers seat and Apple CarPlay. 265/70R17 A/T tires, H9 halogen low beam mod, DD SS3 sport fogs and bed mat. Edit oh and running boards, Screen ProTech screen protectors and CRC rust inhibitor.

One thing I've learned about mods. They're all have great advertising, but then they're never as great as advertised. I've kept my truck stock, except for the clutch mod, which improved clutch feel, but I easily could have went without, it isn't a game changer. I also removed the rear seats, added rust protection cosmoline and added a tonneau cover, not really mods, I know. My offroading consists of farm fields and trails through the wooded sections, the stock suspension, tires and wheels perform without issue. No ragrets so far.

I hit 4 years this month. (May 14th)

It took me 47 months to get the TRD Lift I've been wanting for quite some time...it's thee most expensive! (Yes, I cried a little but I'm happy!) lol

I've treated my Sport as an extension to my happiness...and my family sees it...as does anyone else who knows me.

All of us have different levels of happiness and it's great to see like-minded folks share their experience.

 

Some of the mods I had individually or at the time were just fine but after the slippery slope of adding here and there it was over the top and I have actually removed mods to make it look simpler and more streamlined. I always set out to do an OEM+ build but you know how that goes. That's showbiz baby.

 

Questions for you:
1. 2020 Tacoma model refresh... offered through dealership, or DIY? Added Power Drivers Seat and Apple CarPlay yourself, or is this like a package via Toyota?
2. What's the appeal of the Screen ProTech protectors? A lot of people rave about it.

I also did the H9 halogen low beam mod, it's a no-brainer IMO.

 

You sound like my damn Aussie buddies when it comes to their 70-series "farm truck" landcruisers... I tend to lump Australia and Canada into the same mental box haha
