Haha, my intentions are also to keep it OEM+, and while my wheels are Toyota OEM, they look totally aftermarket on my truck. From an aesthetic perspective, I can't decide whether it's just "all or nothing" that looks good, or whether there is a healthy balance. Your truck looks nice, however. Love what you did with the place.

That is kind of where I'm at with mine. My pro is paid off and modded the point I would like. Adding a supercharger vs 4th gen trade in would still put me out way ahead. Plus since the pros or higher engines don't come with a manual the allure isn't as strong to make the jump to a 4th gen.

Don't do it! I vow to keep my truck until one of us dies, and it'll probably outlive me. Once mine's paid off, and I get the new truck fever, I think I'm just going to go all in with the Magnuson blower.

yeah man, that built in theft protection is no joke since manuals seem to be going towards being footnotes in the history books. And, you could always make a leap to something else to increase your quality of life like a boat or new home....just don't get a vacation home. It's nothing but more work and less vacation. lol

All i need to do is add a "Live, Laugh, Love" sticker on the back and the remodel is complete. I gravitate much more to functional over aesthetic mods though in general.

Totally agree Ed. My wife and I share very fond memories of our first Toyota truck together before kids.

This continues on with this truck allowing us to do what we love to do now that our kids are older. We have high expectations that this truck will run a long time with little to no issues like our prior.

We are also considering some mild suspension and armor upgrades in the near future for enhanced trail performance. Your truck looks awesome.

I know we both love music, so it would be temping to upgrade the sound system in our trucks a little bit. My first Toyota truck rocked the tunes.

So I understand the joy derived from your truck. Especially since you and I are not getting any younger and are hitting the big 59 in less that a month! :drunk::oldglory::canada: :hbd:

Toyota launched a mild re-fresh for the Tacoma in 2020. I can't remember all the added features but the Power adjustable drivers seat and the introduction of Apple Car Play and Android Auto was a big deal at the time.

When I first got my Tacoma, I joined up here. First thing I read was that the gauge cluster scratches very easily. Some actually were going as far as replacing their plastic cluster gauge screen with a new one with relatively low miles. Others mentioned the Screen ProTech as an alternative. Purchased it right away. Gauge cluster, infotainment touch screen and shift indicator were covered. Easy process. Everything still looks mint and scratch free to this day no mater how much I wipe them.

Gotcha gotcha, so more in terms of a model "face lift"

Yeah, I'll have to take a look at the screen protector - If it helps with smudges, too, that wouldn't be a bad thing

    Great Minds Think Alike! lol

The TRD Lift has been a great upgrade! No more spongy contact with the road.

Thanks for the Compliment on my Sport!!!

Yeah, I'd like to do a Sound System upgrade too!

We are hitting the last of our 50s Together this year...Happy Trails To You! :hbd: :canada::oldglory:

This was my retirement gift to myself from military service as well as a needed replacement, so I used the excuse of covid and boredom to just go all out and make it something I always loved growing up (back to the future movie truck) and then I saw the new rack systems and realized that's how I can move my kayak around easier as well as any long pieces of wood from lowes, new supercharger, etc.etc.
The justifications just kept racking up in my mind and bam.....here we are! I'm 52 now, so I better get this all done sooner than later~!
    The modding bug is real!

Couldn't live without the OTT tune. Like the TRD Pro skid plate for ease of oil changes and one almost black out drunk had me loving my weather tech impact bed liner. Sleeping on the stock surface is unpleasant! :drunk:
