when you drive a different car? when i use to drive my STI i get lots of respect from other subaru's,evo's and specially ricers. when i drive my truck no one really pays attention to me. lately, i have been driving my lady's corolla S to work cause it gets about 35mpg compare to my truck and i drive 40miles a day. with all the body kit the corolla S has, sti and evo owners look at me weird like "is that all you got" and lots of ricers revving and wanting to race....WTF. and guys and gals that drive trucks look at me like am gay with that tiny ass car...LOL:rolleyes:

Maybe. But who cares? I dont buy or drive any of my motorized (or non-motorized) wheeled vehicles to impress others.

    They definately do!
I work in an area where everyone who lives in the nextdoor country club drives Mercedes , BMW, Jaguar, Range Rover etc.
You should see those snobs when they try to change lanes or you wait to get a gap in line etc. May I never be like that.

It's sad but people look at what you drive as your status on how far you have come along in life. My sister is that way (shallow bitch) and told me when I got my truck "why would you buy a Toyota, I mean it's like telling the world your poor or something"..

She drives a GMC Terrain with 22's, she's a balla.. Like that's ANY better than my Tacoma.

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I actually feel naked when I'm not driving my truck.

My windows are tinted enough that no one can see me. They don't know if I'm a 6'1" 230lb guy or my 5'4" 120lb girlfriend. If they look, they are usually looking at the truck.

Eh, I didn't like the attention my STi got. That's one of the reasons I sold it. I like my tacoma much better for that reason. I just didn't need 400 daily hp and fill up with 4+ dollars a gallon gasoline.

You should live by me, it doesn't matter whether you're driving a car that is neon pink with a dinosaur head on top or a Bentley, no one gives a fook.

My friend has a terrain (with the bing blinged out wheels) it's actually his wifes car. He has a 4 runner. He hates the terrain. The turning radius on that pile of shit is roughly 1 football field. It's uncomfortable as hell even as a passenger.

Actually where I live, if you're not in a lifted pick up truck, they look at you funny. It's redneck-ville so I figured I should fit in. There are two other lifted tacomas that live in my town, I see them all the time. So i figure I fit in now.

    LOL!

Anyway, I'm the guy with the "Jap Truck" in my town and couldn't be more happy about it. All the buddy's think my truck is "cute" until their daily driver mud runner heaps break down on them and they need a lift. Keep in mind they say that in good fun. That's what friends do right? As far as public looks I think they're pretty positive reactions since it's starting to look like a adventure rig and you don't see that type of thing around these parts.

That's when you tell all those F-150 drivers that according to the government, their trucks aren't American either. A vehicle has to have a certain amount of it's total value (I think it is 70%) come from American and Canadian labor / parts to be considered "American", and the F-150 fails to meet that number.

I am sure that other "American" trucks are in a similar boat, but I know the F-150 is for sure!
