If I don't know you, zero chance you get in my vehicle. Hooptie or not.

I've driven friends of family home before after they were in no condition to, but I brought them home in their vehicle.

I mean, if you're gonna give rides to inebriated strangers, make them pitch in for gas money. And then make them pitch in for gas money five minutes later. Drop them off when they start mentioning what terrible mileage your truck is getting.

    Absolutely
    I already do that first.

Somebody tried robbing me the other day. I laughed.
Don't know why they changed their mind.

I have wondered at times, if it is an uno reverse card. Like if they try to rob you, then you can take their shoes. Like "Ah! Gotcha!" But I do not think so.
Though I have seen this done.

$20's fine. Not my fault they chose the worst vehicle ever made for themselves (Hyundai) for more money.

If it's a friend or family member sure. Absolutely not to some random stranger irregardless of the situation. Too many crazy unhinged people and I'm not going to risk my life, property or safety for that. :burnrubber:

    Another time,
I was outside. A blonde looked at me. Began chasing me.
IDK what the hell that was about. I ran.
In fact I had just trained. I was in running shorts, T-shirt, and running shoes. Def had that gear, fresh tread A/T's down on feets, blipped throttle on the supercharger and zoomed the hell outta there
Talking about/yelling some "WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE, I AM" type shit

it was like this but without the bowling

never seen that person in my life but you know what
    cops were down the street
perhaps if I had slowed down and allowed her to grab my ear in front of them, I could sue for damages
    then buy SAS kit
    gotta think outside the box

Waaaaaaaaaaay back in the 70's I used to hitchhike a bit. One time while thumbing in Florida a guy picks me up who had been partying all night and wanted me to drive for him; so I'm driving his car while he's passed out in the passenger seat.

    Absolutely fucking not LOL

I'll give a bottle of water to a panhandler on a hot day, but that's the extent of my interaction with strangers. My windows are tinted because I enjoy my privacy and aim to keep it that way.

A young naive stupider version of me jumped in someone’s car for a free ride to the beach with a friend. Along the way he suddenly wanted something from us which hinted at forced a*al. When we were noncompliant, he started screaming and made us get out.

On the other side, being helpful in any way can put you in a situation to become a victim. Helping strangers no. Even with friends keep the guard up. My best friend got hooked on meth. Put me in some bad situations before landing in jail.

In general no, but I made an exception the other day. Was at a gas station and noticed a guy whose truck obviously was not starting. Asked if I could help, he said he had to get to his mom's house, she has dementia and the caretaker would be leaving very soon. He didn't have a phone. Sounded suspicious honestly but I know how to handle myself so I gave him a ride and it turned out he was telling the truth... Don't think I'd ever just pick up someone walking or hitchhiking though, too many people wandering around with major mental health problems.
