When you see another Taco owner on the road, do you greet them? I've started to greet the Taco owners I encounter on the road and if I see one parked I tend to park next to them.

Call me biased but if I see another Army Green Taco I'll greet them more profusely :D

Yep, it's been 50/50 on the wave back. Sometimes it's the "Why you waving? Oh you're driving a Taco as well!"

I'll glance at the Tacoma driver and if I get a mutual look, I'll nod my head (what's up!).

I dont own my Taco yet...still in transit.
But coming from multiple Jeeps over the last 20+ years, I hope the stupid wave doesnt catch on with Tacoma owners.
Hate to sound like a cranky old fart, but that waving to every damn Jeep gets annoying as hell quick. Especially since they are everywhere now.
So now I refuse to wave out of spite (unless its a cute girl...im not stupid).
Ive actually had other Jeep drivers yell at me for not waving while passing. Calling me a MF and other colorful language. Not just once or twice either...many times. It has become an obligation.

So yeah, as one who is looking forward to years of Tacoma ownership, please dont start this asinine tradition. Eventually, you will regret it.

2 cents from a caffeine fueled, slightly hungover grump...

Fuck that. There's too many. You're going to spend more time waving than driving.

We have a Rubicon and it's annoying as fuck. Sold our mini last month. The mini wave was a thing as well for awhile until they got too popular.

The s2000 is fine because you only see another one like every six months.

No. Just like I don't greet other people that wear Vans shoes or Fruit of Loom underwear.

Wave no, admire what they are driving or tricked out yes. Occasional comment about their nice-truck if in the vicinity when parking yes.

Still I feel the same sense of community as when I was riding a motorcycle. All motorcycle riders shared a brotherhood with each other regardless
of race / creed / sex / make of bike / patched or not. It was the closest knit community I was proud to be a member of. I was welcomed by any
motorcycle rider and any motorcycle rider was welcomed by me. I miss those days as I don't ride anymore. If you never rode a motorcycle you wouldn't understand.

    But wave?... no.

Seems as if common decency and respect for others has somehow been turned around and is seen as a sign of weakness. The poles have changed.

There's 240,000 Tacomas sold each year in America. It's the single most popular midsize pickup by almost 2x. You'd be waving all day and people still wouldn't care.

In fairness, it's easy for Jeep owners to do this. I mean all you have to do to is wave when you pass one on a tow truck or repair shop...

No.... Even in the Jeep or on the motorcycle I did not wave, well, maybe a few times but it got old very quick.

Years ago I had a guy say something to me for not waving at him while sitting next to him at a stop light. I finally did and he said thanks. I said, I was waving at his Lady friend, not him. He just looked at me and not a word came out of his mouth. She, on the other hand started laughing.
