Yep, here's a pic i found. I know the tailgates aren't meant for sustained overload, so just steady & smooth over it at as small of an angle as possible to reduce force exerted.

Thanks guys, I will do that. 1995 Tacoma has metal tailgate cover and I heard that later models have plastic over there. I can also add a piece of strand board to spread the load from tractor wheels. I can also use a slope on my driveway to lower the angle of ramps, I have such spot I can utilize.

Removing a tailgate is a PITA in 1st gen Tacoma (which is good thing, so nobody steal it), and I like my tailgate on. If I drive my truck without a tailgate, I feel like half naked :).

Only if they are easy to turn :) - if I remember right the first time I had to use breaker bar. Then the bigger PITA is to put them back.:D

Depending on the dimensions of your machine, your rear wheels might well sit in the gap between bed/gate or slightly ahead. I have a 42" deck Murray mower and that's how mine rides

I haven't loaded mine in a while (nor do I have my truck but that's another saga, haha)..but the deck would hit the back of the wheel wells before the nose would get near the rear window on my mower. If you want me to snap some #s on my tractor let me know, though I cannot recall how much space was between nose and window it was sufficient.
