I teach high school juniors and seniors in a vocational school, getting them ready to become licensed electricians. Pay is OK, benefits pretty good, and I get July and August off. Not a bad gig.

    Regards,
    Chris

Good money is enough to let you live how you want without going into debt.

I'm a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician, Red Seal means I can legally do electrical installations, alterations, and maintenance anywhere in Canada. I like my job it pays well, a little less than $40 per hour, and I get to work by myself the majority of the time. what I do hate is fixing other peoples fuck ups when it would have been just as easy to do it properly in the first place.

I understand that, but $20/hr to someone in Massachusetts I would assume would be different than $20/hr to someone in Oklahoma...just making an assumption by looking at housing market..ie 1500sq ft house in Mass = $250,000 where in whatever state 1500sq ft house is $125,000.

Indeed. Or in my case, allowing me to get out of debt. This is the first job I've ever had where I have enough money to actually start getting ahead of it, instead of just trying to keep up with minimum payments. But it still requires discipline. Glad I'm getting it done now though.

Check my build thread...too much to list.
I hate it cause I've been doing the same thing for the last 4 years. I love being in the military but I hate that they won't move me to another base. If I could just change duty stations I think it would be a good refresher.

I do international sales for an automotive engine rebuilding company and my market is shrinking as vehicles and engines becom more disposable or components are plug and play. I am working on a degree in security studies ( emergency management focus, industrial security minor) and am waiting to hear if I got picked up by a PMC. I know the owners of my company really well, but doing sales and dealing with the factory kills me on a daily basis.

I'm much happier at my current job than I was at the previous one. I am a project manager for a home elevator and commercial / home wheelchair lift company. I get some cool projects to work on: World Trade Center, Statue of Liberty, Citi Field. But the stress with the deadlines and lack of flexibility in the product are the killers. They must love me though. Just got employee of the month for the second time in 9 months. And there are 45+ employees.

I used to be a project manager for a folding wall / gymnasium equipment contractor. Crazy hours, ok pay, no company truck for company business (wears out the Taco fast). No respect.

Current company is great though. Very thankful and willing to compensate you for going the extra mile. Can definitely see a future here.

I love my job I go to work every morning thinking what I can come up with. It's like being a kid in your dad's garage just bigger :D and my tools are a little better then my dad's :p

I have fun every day and it still doesn't feel like a job that's the great thing about doing something you love.

Eh I like my job, its a super easy job and decent pay. I'm ready to move up, just waiting for the guy ahead of me to quit to become commercial manager. Right now I'm a commercial specialist, second in command, or 4th in command in the whole store. Don't want to do retail business, but its paying the bills :)
