was sawing trimming some tree branches in the back yard... had a limb hanging above the proch that I wanted to get down... was about 15 ft long and wrapped around on the other side of tree. Got rope to pull it backwards away from the porch. Cut most of the branch with chain saw (branch is about 15ft up so I was on ladder). Got down, started pulling the branch as I figured it would snap...

didn't snap.. so I grabbed the bow saw, got back up the ladder (had my mom and sister watching) got about 2 saw stroke in and heard *snap!* immediately i was like oh fuck... look down and saw my sister tugging on the rope. By then it was too late.. branch snapped and swung back at me.. almost knocks me off ladder.

i was holding the branch and hugging tree to keep from falling off, finally felt a massive pain in my chest, looked down and the saw blade was stuck inside my chest... I cussed, pulled the saw out and tossed it across the yard, finally walked the branch down the ladder (which weighed close to 300lbs).

started laughing at my dumb ass, went inside and took my shirt off and listened to my mom freak the hell out... told her to get my phone and take a pic so Icould send it to f.b., tw, and my friends.

oh yeah.. no stitches... i superglued my tit back together and butterfly bandaged it.

Don't have any pictures of the scar (roughly 12" long), but here is the before:

Also have 5" scar on my right wrist from a motorcycle accident a few years back where they put a screw in my scaphoid bone.

met a tour guide a few years ago that had a wicked "joker's smile" but only on one side of his face. Got mauled by a dog when he was a kid (not so wicked" but left an awesome scar. He said it's a greay ice breaker for him

I just got surgery on my knee this summer. I have a pretty noticeable scar about 3 or 4 inches long right under my knee cap. I had 2 pieces of bone floating around in my patella so they cut and picked :D .

    Ok. I'll add.
Head: 1) a small scar on the back of my head from falling back in some steps when I was 4.2) a small scar in my eyebrow from being to close to a scope on a .50 caliber muzzle loader. 3) scar in my forehead from a friends tooth from flag football a few weeks ago.
Arms, legs: 1) 3 scars on my wrist and upper arm from a dog bite when I was young. 21 stitches. 2)a 6" long scar on my leg from acting stupid and getting run over by a golf cart. Needed stitches, but just used 3to band aides to hold it together for a couple of days. My mom almost killed me when she saw it when I got home that weekend

Then a few on my fingers from knives, glass. A few on my kness/ elbows from being a kid. I think that's it.

i have this 6 inch scar left over from a mountain bike accident
    [IMG]

i was riding in the santiago mountains east of irvine lake. i was doing about 30 mph downhill when i hit a slick area on a stream crossing. the bike went right and i went left. my face was the first thing to hit the ground and my nose exploded and i had massive black eyes and they both swelled shut. my knee hit a slight raise in the trail and my knee cap broke into 3 pieces and shattered about 15% of one of the pieces. i tore ligaments and tendons on both sides of the knee when i tried to stand up (i promptly fell back down in pain). about 50% of the skin on the palms of my hands were scraped off due to road rash and i had several bruised ribs from tumbling around on the trail. i also had various cuts, scratches, and bruises all over my body and my clothes were torn up. i was in a fairly remote area and the county brought in off-road emergency vehicles to get me out.

the doctors opened my knee, picked out the bone fragments and encased the rest of the knee cap in stainless steel. my leg was in a cast from ankle to groin. i was in the hospital for 4 days, bed ridden for 2 weeks, in the cast for 5 weeks, and in physical therapy for 3 months. the muscles in the leg had totally atrophied and i had to learn how to walk again. it took a whole year before i felt comfortable enough to get back on my bike.
