STOCK. Ours rides/drives so great right now, I’m afraid modifications will screw it up. I’m old school that way I suppose; If I didn’t like the look stock, I wouldn’t have bought it. Functionality is a different story however. Guys who are using their truck for aggressive off-roading, then it makes sense, but that’s not me.

The stock height is pretty good for most driving situations. But people like to mod Tacomas, and a lot of it is for looks. To me, the metal on the head of your shovel and the condition of your rig’s paint tell a lot more about your activities than a lift or different tires or an RTT or whatever. And not everyone likes off-roading, so don’t feel like you need to just because some people here do.

My dad loves cars as much as me, and keeps his pristine. Every time he sees mine he points out the pinstripes. I’m like :notsure:

Stock Tacomas have pretty good ground clearance for most overlanding and light to medium off roading situations. I had planned a lift but haven’t really needed it yet.

Stock. No requirement for more height and it looks good as is.

Stock. 99% of what I do and what I want to do can be accomplished with tires and realization that there are just some places I can't go.

I’m going for the same setup. I’m trying to get just over 2” in the front. What is your height and your coilover settings?

Stock for me. Don’t want to deal with the possible issues with a lift. I did however add a Sumo Spring in the rear to help with the sag of having sliders and a camper shell.

I've owned my truck for 11 years and have had a cart full of goods on more occasions than I can count. Just can't pull the trigger. Really like the way my stock set up works for me.

Raptor 4" oval rails, OEM door sill protectors, totally debadged, OEM mud guards, OEM bed mat, OEM S/S tail pipe extension, BDT tailgate letters, Weather Tech sun screen.
Stock: I like the looks of "lifted" Tacos but at 5'7" my step rail is high enough off the ground for me. Any higher would make getting in to the truck more difficult.

I'm going with just a 2 inch lift, just need an extra little ground clearance for camping. I'm could probably go with a smaller lift than that but I like the look with bigger tires. Nothing wrong with the stock set up, I think the Tacoma's look great stock.
