Clean shaved the truck (with fishing line on a hot day), all the plasti-chrome badging is gone,

Like the look much better, and easier to keep clean.

Plastidipped the chrome bumper caps and chrome bits of the grill, looking good.

If I can figure out a way to cleanly cover up the TACOMA on the tailgate, I will do it.

Funny thing is, I never touched any of my vehicles before the Tacoma- thanks TW for turning me into an OCD truck owner.

I personally wanted to debadge. Like the clean look on. I understand why people keep theirs, and I appreciate the little vinyl stickers to mix things up.

Adding additional badges or crazy decals is tacky though.

Yes! It distinguishes me from those SR5 and TRDsport peasants.

I really don't mind to have all Toyo Stuff as is comes from the factory only.
However when I ordered the truck, I specifically Noted to the dealer to Not install any decal/badges from dealer on my truck. I really don't like dealer's fashion of putting its decals in my brand new vehicle (specially on a painted area) just for propaganda. I don't mind if they include their custom license plate frames as they're easily removable.

What about the logo on the grill? I think vehicles look funny when they are removed. But I agree with all the other ones (v6, 4x4, SR5, etc...)

Once I learned how easy they were to take off, everything had to go. If I could remove the tailgate lettering, I would, and eventually I will have some grille that doesn't have any labeling as well...

I asked the dealer to remove all the badges and the 'TRD Off Road' stickers on the back of the truck before I took delivery. I show up the next day to inspect the truck and everything is still on the truck. I ask the sales guy about it and he said "I had our detailing department try to remove the stickers on the bed and they must be under the clearcoat - nothing they tried would take them off without ruining the paint. They just can't do it."

Fast forward to an hour later, I pull up and my wife laughs and says "Your new truck says you're a Tard!"
Another 10 minutes and she has both stickers peeled off the sides with no residue or scratches while I remove all of the other badges.

This, no need for extra badges.

    Factory badges don't bother me.

    Tailgate is smooth.

Tacoma still on sides, as I like how it breaks up the slab sided body. I don't mind the chrome as it brightens up my little white base. Goes with the trim rings and grill surround I've added. :p

I never ever have stickers on anything painted. If I chose to run stickers (rarely) they go on windows, so they come off easy when I'm tired of them.

Except for sponsor contingency stickers that are required to be a certain size/position on the vehicle to pay out when running events. Oh wait, that's not the Tacoma......... o_O
