Do you like badges on your truck?

Yeah, that retro FJ40 badge might look good on the tailgate of my QS OR.

It's already got the black and red accents.

 

I've got the retro toyota on my grill. Looks cool. I've always liked that badge you posted.

 

TRD stickers gone, V6 gone. TACOMA on the doors I kept but I blacked them out.

 

On topic...I removed all of mine. I'm thinking of getting some custom bedside decals though.

 

Did this a while ago, the red/black combo matches the trdor decals. If you do this be sure to remove the two adhesive strips on the back and apply a large piece on the entire back. The two are recessed inward leaving the raw aluminum edges to make paint contact.

 

I like that quite a bit! Thanks for the pic, I couldn't find any with that badge on 3rd gens. Can you show one with the whole tailgate?

I voted no, luckily the only badge on my truck is a little 4x4 emblem on the tailgate. It stays for now, I'll probably dip it black at some point. Also this:

About where I'm at. Not high on them, would prefer them blacked out, but not worth the effort to do a damn thing about it. More important things to do. Like throwing on performance mods! Kings, bumper, winch, lights, etc. And preparing for my next hunt, or taking the W out someplace cool. Or kayaking. Or biking. Or even catching up at work over a weekend. Just far too many things at this stage in life that take priority over removing or blacking out emblems. Now, were I 25 again and wondering what to do with my weekend, (or I didn't have other hobbies like hunting, reloading, fishing, fly tying, wife, etc) well then, all that shit would be blacked out!

Just think....in about 30 years, there's gonna be some lucky SOB on tacomaworld with a low miles, low rust, good condition 2016 Tacoma TRDOR 4x4 trying to source chrome tacoma badges to put back on his restoration project!

That grille though? Had to go. That I gladly put the effort in to! Priorities!

 

Like it. Love the nod to Toyota off road heritage there. They make one with a tan background I'd seriously consider. Lotta fond FJ40 memories from childhood makes me want to ditch the V6 badge in favor of this emblem.

 

They do make the cream colored badge.

I left the V6 on the tailgate in addition to the retro badge.

 

These are rad as hell.
