Agreed. I sometimes hit them with my knee and aggravates the hell out of me.

i used to...it was enough of a hassle to find this truck...adding a MT into the issue would have made me getting a truck impossible

i have CC in my patrol car too...never use that either...

It always astounds me how so many manufacturers (almost all of them) get steering wheel controls wrong.

The only one I've seen do it right so far is my mother's '09 Accord. You will take note, audio controls under one thumb, cruise control under the other:

Why other manufacturers can't seem to figure this shit out is beyond me.

I use my CC often. Seems even in 6th gear, the engine just pulls fine, as long as over 45 MPH.

I did it again. Got tired of paying truck payments and gas and traded in for a 2015 Honda Accord Sport since I enjoyed my 2013 Sport so much.
Another plus for the Mazda3. Same layout for the CC and steering wheel audio controls.

i don't "love" it, but it's pretty practical for rides over about 30min on a highway

I have it in my truck which is also a 5 speed... The thing wont give up on a hill. I just took my truck on its first real long road trip on Monday and I just let it pull in 5th up a hill to see what it'd do. Now 75 is pushin the little 2.4's comfort zone (which is why it doesn't go on trips). Since I have the old fashioned cable throttle, I could push down on the gas pedal to see how open the throttle was. It was pinned wide open on every hill! I just have to cancel at every slight incline.

ALthough with the deck plate, going up a hill wide open sounds like a damn Harley!

I don't use it very often... but for long trips it's nice to have.

    love it.

really basic control system. going up and down hills the speedo doesnt even budge. i have a 6speed and dont even downshift going up hills. no need. if it was a major incline then id downshift.

    comes in handy as i make a 5 hour drive back to my hometown about once a month;

My wife and I took a vacation a few years back I my Nissan Super Charged Frontier that did not have cruise control. We drove 6900 mile in 19 days and my foot sure did get tired and my wallet got thinner due to 15mpg. Texas to Canada to New York City to Blue ridge parkway and back home. I know I will never own another Nissan.

Plenty of power in the V6 to not need to downshift from 6th going 55+mph. I generally don't use the cruise going slower.

Also, as others have said, it cancels as soon as you push the clutch in. All you need to do is hit resume once you are back in gear.

My driving is 90+% back roads and secondary highways, so I don't get much use out of it either. The first 8-10 hour trip it is going to be a life saver though!

I've read here alot of guys complain about the cruise in our trucks but I've never had an issue with mine. I only use it on long flat stretches of highway though.
