I love my taco seats. I can drive to Vegas, 500 miles with one pit for gas. Could easily go another 500 miles.

Coming from a 3rd gen 4runner the tacoma is much better for the road, making a 2k mile round trip twice a month for the year I had no complaints.

First week of the new year me and the GF did a 3k mile trip and not once felt like I "needed" to get out

There is at least one thread already about this same topic with people recommending improvements that can be made to make the tacoma even more road tripper friendly. One thing I recommended was Wet Okole seat covers to help with comfort. If you don't already have heated seats, getting that option and running them on lowest setting helps your lower back from aching if you are spending hours in the seat.

It's not new, it's not Mexico
Last October I drove from Albuquerque to Denver. The bench seat sucks, too low, no thigh support. Noisy cab & a rough ride too. So I guess the answer to the thread topic is no, I don't like taking the Tacoma on road trips.
    I did average 26.61 MPG, so that's a plus.

I've only done one road trip in my DCSB. 400 miles one way when it was just 500 miles old. It drove nice and got 21 mpg, but it wasn't nearly as comfortable as the 2002 Suburban I traded for it, nor the 2000 Cherokee I still have. There are some days that my neck and back start hurting after 45 minutes in it. It's probably the most uncomfortable vehicle I've ever owned.

Too poor to list anything interesting.
I like taking road trips in my truck. When I was younger, my family was more for flying. But now that I have no problem making road trips vs flying. I can usually drive for spans of 6 hours without needing a break. I think the seat covers help out a lot. And it beats taking a road trip in my girlfriend's TJ with a soft top.
