i had a quick question about lifting the rear with new leaf packs.
Im gonna be setting up my rear with 4" Allpro Expo leaf packs that have me at 4" high. realistically i wanna be at 5.5" in the rear, my rake is an extra 1.5 inches so that would keep me level.

my factory rake in the rear to front is 1.5" inches
front center of hub to fender is 20.5''
rear center of hub to fender is 22''

once i install these new leaf packs will i keep or eliminate that rake?

Oo snap well maybe i'll set the eibachs at .85 keep me a bit closer to even..
& you say you got 5" from the expos unloaded correct nfs? was that after fresh install or after a couple 100 miles allowing to settle ?

im just gonna keep the 1500's at 0 and call it a day. & i don't have enough cash to buy new control arms for that kinda angle

I put them on and beat the hell out of them the next weekend.... so they settled quickly... and still looked level. Never measured again.

haha i bet you did! well to be honest i think im ready to order the rear expos now. ive got quite a bit of info through here. just need to figure out the rear shock measurements to find a suitable shock for my lift. assuming it a shock meant for 4-6" inches

darn well im not sure if i'll be fine with the extended 1500's they say just for 3-4" of lift.. my rear might be at 5 inches afte the new AP Expos. Cost wise i prefer to get them from dsm for 300 for the front & extended rear. but i dont wanna bottom them out and damage them..

nfs so the extended 1500's never gave you any issues: noises or clunks/thumps/whirls/bangs with that much lift in the rear?

im not gonna trail my rig hard or anything. mostly road for the next 6 months couple dips/potholes/curb hopping but no jumps or anything like that, nor much flexing EITHER

just saw that thread & it says hes waning to buy "WTB" expos

so then thats a no.. well then what are the other shocks meant for 4-6" lifts for? just to be able to flex more?
i mean if you didn't bottom up or over extend them while landing back down they should be fine for me then

hey nfs when installing your susp up grade did you put different bump stops or anything?
