I found this on the passenger side front floor. It looks like factory Toyota style. Long shot, but anybody have an idea where it may have come from? I saw similar ones holding the glove box and latch on, but none obviously missing. I also replaced the radio with an aftermarket unit a year ago or so, and there are some like this up in there, but I opened it up and none were missing or loose...

That's a very common interior bolt, your just gona have to look around and see if you can see one missing.

Indeed. the only semi-unusual thing about it is the captive washer. Maybe. The others I saw when poking around did not have it.

Check your front seats. Those bolts are used to mount the seats. Front and back of the front seats.

Looks like the usual M6 interior bolt with whatever corresponding (10mm?) JIS head.

Could be from just about anywhere.

My seats are secured with black painted bolts. Also a little bigger, though I know you can't tell the size from the pic...

Maybe check the HVAC blower housing (just behind the glove box). 3 or 4 of that style 10mm screws hold the lower housing on. Installed vertically.

Well, I laid on my head and looked all up in there, and took the glove box down and checked behind. Whatever it is is hidden away a bit. There should be enough redundancy to keep the truck from falling apart. If I hear rattling I'll try harder. Thanks for the ideas.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
Looks like it may be a bolt for the knee airbag

If you even have one, if not it’s probably near the kick panels, there’s a bolt behind them just like that for the dash

If you remove the kick panel there's definitely one of those at least on the driver's side.

Its definitely an interior bolt. Just save it. If nothing is obviously loose at the moment then there's nothing to worry about.
