I don't know. I smoke in my truck on a daily basis and my truck still has that new smell two years later. I frequently have people comment on how my truck smells so good, just after I got done smoking a stogie on the way to pick them up.

I'm sure if I told them I had just smoked in it, there opinion would be different. Solely because of the psychological factor.

Yeah, it has to be a psychological factor added to it somewhere in there..

No, I haven't smoked in my truck, and don't ever plan to.
The car I was driving around before I got it, hadn't been smoked in, until my mom wanted a ride to someplace.. We get about 50 ft from the entrance and she lights up.. IM LIKE... C'MON!~!!! lol
My gf does smoke.. I make her ass get out.. Went to a gas station the other day, and she was smoking while I was paying for gas... Apparently she didn't make that final blow, and got in and breathed out, and GAH! took me an hour with the windows down to get back my new truck smell.. lol
I tried smoking, never could see the sense in it.. I do love my dip though.. Speaking of which...

I dont smoke at all, but my dad's truck was smoked in by the previous owner and the drivers side seat is all burned up. I also smelled terrible for the first 3 months until he finally got it professionally cleaned.

If your vehicle smells like smoke, if will be harder to sell if you intend to do so. As a former car sales person, I have had customers open a door, smell the cigarettes and abruptly close the door and not take another look. Very, very difficult to get smell out of vehicle once it is there. Therefore....;) it brings down value.

I don't smoke, and neither does anyone else in my truck. I hate the smell and the ashes all over the place.

    TRD skid painted black,

    That was me.
I had a temp truck to take home at the shop I worked at while they were doing some service on mine.
Hopped in to ride home and being the usual hot as hell summer I fired up the AC.
The blast of stench comming out of the ducts made me gag.
I drove home windows down and sweating like a madman.
So glad to get mine back the next day.

I agree if it is your truck smoke up all you want, it's yours.
I don't and don't want folks doing so in mine.

I do smoke and there is a way to smoke in your truck without it smelling like smoke all the time. First thing, always have fresh air from the HVAC system never recirculate, smoke only with you left hand (driver) as the smoke from the lit cig. goes right out the open window. Blow your smoke out the open window when you exhale. Always leave your windows cracked open when parked (Raingaurds help keep the weather out). Lastly never let more than one person smoke in your car at one time, never in the back seat. Everyone that gets in my truck doesn't think I smoke in my truck. I cannot stand having a car smell like smoke.

I smoke both pretty much all day long cause I practically live in my truck. My truck will either reek of cigarettes, dankies, or fabreze (when I need to cover certain smells up).
I hate the smell of cigarettes but, unfortunately, I'm one of those statistics that is addicted to cigarettes and can't live without them it seems like. DON'T SMOKE! IT'S NOT WORTH IT! They smell bad, it's a waste of money, and they dont do anythign for you. Stick with the green. All day everyday.
    :rasta:
    Anybody in SD wanna smoke?
