I couldn't care less about my paint job or my intestinal health. Gas station car washes and roller food baby!

My truck gets slapped and scoured every few months. Quit hand washing several years ago.

I’ve been accused of it before! My neighbor said I’m going to wash the paint right off if I keep it up.

Touchless car washes years ago, now only hand washing for everything.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
    No

Honestly this may be overkill for my truck, but I do the two bucket hand washing method. It’s satisfying to do so

Now there is a legit reason to handwash a pickup truck! I change my oil and do all my own maintenance for the same reason. I enjoy the experience.

My truck is like a drill or screwdriver now. A tool. It used to be important, something I needed to baby. Now? Auto wash and call it good.

There’s a post here somewhere of imploded rear fenders from a touchless car wash, and one with dents in the roof and torn off side mirrors from a roller one- I wouldn’t do it.

Touchless/Laser carwashes I have no problem with. Especially if you wax the car once in a while.

I will never take a car through any car wash that has brushes or anything like that. They will tear the paint up. I have NO idea how they are still around or why people use them. I remember when I was younger my uncle took my mother's brand new car through a brand new car wash with "microfiber" brushes and afterwards the thing was absolutely covered with hairline scratches, especially on the hood and roof.

Hand wash or no wash! This has been my policy on my Tacoma even before I put the camper on it. Call me weird, but I feel it helps me notice little things on the truck I wouldn't have by going thru a wash.

I've been taking my truck through those kinds of washes for 4 years now, i don't have any issues with my paint. Same with my wifes car, she bought it brand new 2 years ago, no issues with her paint from going through the car wash.

If you hand wash, how are you cleaning the undercarriage thoroughly? I’ve seen some rolling hose attachments.

Handwashed. Two bucket for after offroading. Still not going through carwashes even though its got trail stripes all over it. Only the trail is allowed to scratch it IMO haha

I hand wash for the most part. I have an attachment for my pressure washer but have never used it. Mostly I just hit the touchless wash a few times a year and pay for the underbody wash.

SSO hybrid bumper, Warn winch, RCI skid trilogy, RRW sliders, everything in the cheap/free mods thread, and of course the frame recall work.
I'll be heading through ours two or three times today - Galadriel got plenty muddy on the run yesterday!
