    Glad you're OK
Likely hit due to technology distracted.

The wife's GX460 got hit last year. Here's my thoughts from that experience:

DIMINISHED VALUE CLAIM. I knew all along that we would want to file a DV claim. The only question was how. I did a lot of looking and talking to various DV companies, they all came across as....ummmm, less than competent. Quite by accident I came across a thread on Mud by a guy who filed a DV claim on his 80 Series. He was very impressed with the company he used - Auto Appraisal Group, Inc., Charlottesville, VA, so I gave them a shout. It took about 10 days to schedule the actual appraisal due to the Covid mess. Ten days after that, I had the written appraisal in my hot little hands - Total Cost $275.00. Their conclusion: $7,050 in diminished value. (This for a 2019 with 11,400 miles and 9 months since purchase) They also suggested getting a "buy now" offer from CarMax, so I did that too. I made color copies of both (scanned to pdf and then color printed), added a nicely worded letter saying "You owe me." and sent it off. Thirty-two days later we received a check from the insurance company (theirs) for the full amount - no questions asked.

LESSONS LEARNED: 1. Dash cams (F&R) can make a HUGE difference. In our case, it meant that State Farm admitted liability for their insured - which made the whole process much easier. 2. Hire a good appraisal firm for your DV claim. AAG has worked both for and against State Farm (I inquired just in case there was a conflict of interest) and I truly believe that it made a difference. 3. There's a lot to be said for using the dealership body shop. We got the same lifetime warranty (not too sure I believe it, but whatever) but with the added benefit of being able to say it was fixed by the dealer. That may or may not matter come trade-in time. 4. Diminished Value is real. Do not ignore this if you are in an accident that is not your fault! Otherwise, you're leaving money on the table.

Have someone follow you from behind and see if the truck is crabbing ( not driving straight) . This is an easy test to check for a bent frame

If you suspect you've got a bent frame you can measure your wheelbase from hub center to hub center . Any variance would indicate a bent frame . Also using plumb bobs at all four corners and one located at the center you can check for a bent frame

    I don't think its totaled.
I had somewhat similar accident a few years ago. Got hit on roundabout right into the rear wheelwell. Dented the bed panel, blew the tire and ef'ed the rim up.
Alignment found no issues, the bed did not crack, no damage to suspension components.

    Yeah when I got
Under the truck to look for some kind of crack, dent, warp and found nothing major I was so surprised. Hopefully it stays that way. Thank you all for your comments very much appreciated.

Back when my 2000 Tacoma was smashed the frame was mangled and buckled and actually shoved the floor all the way up to the clutch pedal, they put on the frame machine and (supposedly) pulled the frame back to specs.

No way it’s totaled. The downside of a high resale value vehicle is that it’s nearly impossible to total lol.

OP, please update the repair total. I am betting 16k in repairs. Also, as many others have said, check the axle/shocks/mounts/etc. I got hit on the wheel going about 10 MPH and it bent a lot of stuff underneath.

    Like, so many.
Unless the frame is bent, I really doubt that’s totaled.

Co-worker with a 2015 F-150 King Ranch with over 50K miles got offset hit, head-on. I was sure they would total it but insurance purchased a new, OEM frame. Took at least 3 months but truck looks and drives as new.

We can make quick judgement of a picture based off of personal knowledge and experience but ultimately I think you should make sure you take this through a reputable auto collision center so they can form an opinion.

Good luck hopefully the insurance company is not to much of a pain in the rear to deal with.

So glad you're safe!! Bucking the trend here but damage to the cab C-pillar, combined with bed/frame/suspension/axel may exceed your state's total loss threshold. IIRC, Cali has not set a statutory percentage so you may have an advantage. Either way, glad you're safe.

Ok everyone I just got back from the local well known repair shop in my area. Very reputable. I have not gotten an actual number estimate yet. But one of the body shop employees who did the initial view of the truck seemed pretty confident it would NOT be totaled. But that it would end up being a pretty pricey repair. Ball park 13-15k At least and minimum 4 week repair. He explained how the cab is built to from Toyota to be able to be replaced fairly simply along with the bed panels being fairly straight forward due to the truck bed components all being bolt on and not welded. (Thanks Toyota!) I should know more in the next few days and I’ll keep you guys posted! Again I appreciate all the feedback!

I had similar body damage to my 2020. The bed side is bolt on, so they will likely replace that. The cab they will likely repair in place, but mine wasn’t damaged that badly so YMMV. I had my front quarter panel, 2 doors, and bedside replaced and my cab repaired. The total cost was $7k. Far from being totaled.

I had zero structural damage (ie frame suspension, etc)
