These bolts rigidly attach the bed to the frame. The bed being wavy like this, the frame is bent following the same shape underneath...

Looks like it is gone. Get checked out by a Dr and the chiro will also add to the info you will need for the case with the attorney. My 2nd gen was totaled earlier this year when a kid ran a stop sign and hit my daughter. Concussions can also come from your head being whipped, as was the case with my daughter, and this can linger for a few months. Get checked out all around, protect yourself. The truck can be replaced.

 

If you have the other parties insurance info, go to the hospital. That way they will do a bunch of tests in rapid succession. Go for the truckers policy. Fug em

 

mine occurred back in July and this was the damage when they totaled it. That one spot is weak and designed to crumple.

 

It's important to see a Dr. as soon as possible. It protects you from insurance companies screwing you. Document how you feel every day. Keep a log and make sure you have all your medical paperwork in one place. If you miss work, keep track of that. I know all this because I used to be a personal injury paralegal for years.
