    Wait wait wait. So are you making these things a permanent feature? How long are they on at a time for? Buddy once left red, plastic scissors outside. those things got destroyed in less than a year under the sun here.

    It would be “permanently” mounted for the 3 months of summer.

    we spend every weekend at the beach or lake. I’m not planning on screwing in, screwing out all the hardware every 5 days, all summer long.

    Yup, I did a school science experiment... which color attracts more heat. Most automatically say black. I ran the experiment 5 times on different days.
    Red beat out black 4 to 1 by about 3 to 5 degrees.
