    You WANT to run the AC compressor once in a while to keep things lubricated, even in the winter.

    i have had min lock up, I run both now and then. but normally keep the heat on. I always have a window open like the rear slider for fresh air.... lowers the risk of getting sick if you car pool or what not with others.
