You're just using the wrong product. The right product will not only not collect extra dust but it'll help make dust easier to clean off once you're done romping around in the dirt.

Lots of great opinions, especially the ranch or blue cheese!:D But I think I’m interested in this stuff, it seems it would retain the natural look of the tires.

Griots satin tire shine. Just leaves them with that flat black look.

    Used brake fluid.

It's good for rubber. Buff well so there is no sling, cause it's a good paint remover too. :D

I used to clean them with Bleche White, then 303 aerospace protectant.
    Why?
-it leaves a nice matte finish. Not overly glossy and doesn't fling off.
-it protects from UV rays to help the tire last longer

    I also don't any more/currently because it's a bitch to do

    brake fluid absorbs moisture

Hey thanks for the post. Just what I was looking for. A tire dressing that goes for better protection than looks.
The 303 Tire Balm that I've been using for the last 10 years has been discontinued and I'm down to my last 2 bottles. Aero Comsmetics looks very similar, so I'll defiinitely be checking it out.

I use water based tire shine so that I can wash it off the next time I clean my wheels. Jay Leno's tire shine is a good one and it is water based.

I tried Meguiars hot shine tire foam spray for the first time and I was impressed. It super easy to apply. You just spray it on, but I would use a applicator next time to spread the foam to places u you missed while spraying.
What I like about it is that it isn't shiny or high gloss, and after a couple days it just looks like a new tire.

    I like this stuff.
It's not greasy, leaves no gooey film, and it's not too shiny.

303 is great. UV protection and dries matte. I use it on all plastic and tonneau cover too. My car wash uses tire dressing on the run through, nasty dirty process, but can't opt out on the application. 303 it after and much better.

I've heard 303 is good stuff esp to spray on CV boots. I got the "deluxe" wash at the car wash once, the tires came out all shiney, first time I went off-road dirt stuck to all the shiney crap and I don't think those tires ever looked the same again. I typically scrub the outside of the tire when I hand wash it and that wasn't taking the discoloration off. I was getting new tires so it wasn't a big deal. Now I get the $10 cheapo wash to avoid their crap.

New tires don't have a shine, why add a shine to them?

Making tires shine takes me back to 1995 and copious amounts of armor all. Not sure what I was thinking back then.

I use 303 as well but I apply it with a cheapo HLVP gun from Harbor Freight. Takes a few minutes and gets into the numbs.

So I used Rubber Care Aero Cosmetics and the tires came out good, a nice finish but not ridiculously shiny.

Another product to try :) after All so far have failed to impress by the dozen. :(

Do you also apply this to the rubber trims around the windows to protect from uv and hardening
    For plastics?
Been trying many products to keep a decent lustre on my old rig
But it never fails, every time the rains come or the rig needs washed, whatever I have applied Washes Away for a fruitless effort

Will this product retain its adherence for More than one rain
It likes to rain here every other day lately
    Thank you!

I think you'll like this stuff... more of a protectant/conditioner than a tire shine product. Planning on using it on the cv boots also.

For the window trim i use 303 with the foam applicator... a few applications to start out then i reapply around every 6 months. As far as how it holds up to rain i wouldn't know... live in a desert environment.
