Meh there are a million what if scenerios. The issue at hand is a power crazy jerk who is running off at the mouth with threats. The cop is clearly out of line, the guy tried to tell him he had a gun  so I'm not sure why the cop is so pissed... he drained the guy out buy yelling and making threats.

I hear ya, we don't know because we weren't there. Video says a lot in court though. But there could always be something outside the shot that changes the context of everything.

But I don't think that is the case... the problem is how he handles the driver. And thats all clear on the video. The driver was trying to tell him "I have a" cop: "SHUT UP, RAMBLE RAMBLE RAMBLE PISSED OFF" then when he sees the gun he flips shit. I just don't see how the driver did anything wrong. If he would have tried talking over the cop to tell him the situation would have ended worse.

Man I totally agree with you. Possible the cop is angry...Yes. Hell Yes, but in the end the dude that gave the False name went free, and the Permit Holder is in the back of the car. Something wrong with that. But if it were me I would be telling the cop who is searching my car without a warrant I have a gun. If it come's back dirty, well you shouldnt have been in my car then.

I hear ya, cop 2 sounded a little less angry/crazy then cop 1. I would still like to know what happened to cop 1. Guy is insane.

Well, that's your opinion. I'm sure this Cop is a good person and is just letting the stress of His job get to him.

FYI, the driver does not need to give consent to the Officers to search the vehicle if the Officers have reasonable cause to believe there is something illegal in the car. Such as seeing drugs in plain view or illegal firearms, etc.
As far as the reason to pull over, I don't believe they have to tell them that, but I could be wrong on that.

He never gave a false name. Cop was so wriled up that he mis-understood him.

Even if they had reasonable cause, the driver should have never been in the vehicle at the same time as the officer.

Simply put, Oficer one obviously had some personal issues with himself, both are way to comfortable in what they do. Both officers made mistakes in this scenario.

Okay, that's all from me, It's bed time! Y'all have a good night!

And its ok for him to let outside issue come into the work place? Seems like he should have more self control....

And I am aware of resonable suspicion or probable cause...

I can see why the cop would pull him over, looks like this guy is trying to get him a hooker. Everytime I got pulled over the cop asked me "know why I pulled you over" and I guessed right lol.

I never said that? When did I say that? YES I know, I know very well that the driver....or anyone shouldn't be in the car when an Officer is doing a search. Very bad decision on the Officers part.

Never said it was OK? That's why I wrote in earlier postings in this thread he should learn how to deal with the stresses of this job or find a new career.

Yeah lol, this guy shouldn't even be in this area, really stupid of him. This idiot knows d@mn right this chick is a hooker. If he hadn't been picking up hookers and driving around in places he shouldn't be in, he wouldn't have been in this situation. Or at least that's how I feel about it. But most certainly shouldn't have been treated this way by the Officer.

Agreed. Don't know about the area where this happened, but where I live the average city cop is paid more than twice the median income, it's a six figure salary. If they go to work and serve, protect, and treat everyone with respect and professionalism, then I have no problem with that, it can be a dangerous job. The second they stop respecting the citizens that hired them, that's it, no more cushy job and pension!

How did this video get leaked? It appears to be a dash cam, right? They had to know they were on film, who the hell is their supervisor if they thought this behavior would be acceptable?

And when did it become acceptable to physically threaten a woman? Who cares if she's a prostitute?

Wrong place at the wrong time I suppose. And I think everyone can agree the cop didnt handle the situation the best he could have. I agree with whoever said it earlier about sitting all 3 of them on the curb and then proceeding. It was a train wreck from the start.

This isnt always the case. If he sees a gun or drugs or has "reasonable doubt or suspicion" I believe he can search the vehical. I am no cop and dont know for sure. Maybe one of the cops will chime in on this site. I could call my dad and ask but I bet he would be pretty pissed that I am calling him at 156am lol.
