I have come from many car communities where it is common to wave or give a thumbs up to fellow owners (Ford Fiesta ST, Mazda Miata, etc).

Do you acknowledge other 3rd gen Taco owners? I have given many a thumbs up while driving mine but get blank stares or no response at all most of the time.

Not unless I know them, waving could result in unintended consequences in my neck of the woods....

2nd gen but same rule of thumb. I always wave, thumbs up, to every modded tacoma I see. I would say 1 out of 5 actually acknowledges you back. Oh well, guess some don't share the enthusiasm for tacoma's like we do

Nope. I'll park next to them sometimes, but that's it.

This question is asked once a week. Yes, every single group of everything in the world has the "owner wave"

    Like, so many.
I do it all the time. I get a few waves back. Those are usually from trucks with mods though.

I'll wave but rarely get waved back at, that's one thing that I liked about motorcycles was most everyone would do the left arm down "wave" regardless of bike type - cruiser, sportbike, dirtbike, whatever.

No, I tried and it doesn't appear to be "a Jeep thing" for us. When I first got mine and started a new job I was parking next to another 2014 but I didn't know who owned it. Eventually I heard someone going on about "this douche bag with a hood scoop keeps parking next to me..."

We actually became good friends. I was never a fan of the hood scoop either as soon as I saw it was fake.
