Here in Hawaii, every other car on the road is a tacoma. I try to wave at modded tacos, 4runners, and fj cruisers but it gets old sometimes lol.

It's hard to wave when the folks don't look like Taco enthusiasts. lol

I've noticed a few Tacos lately after buying mine, haven't waved at anyone yet though I try if they look like an enthusiast. But lately, it's only been old folks who probably don't have a care in the world about what they're driving.

Have never been waved at in the truck but people always flash their high-beams at me in the Porsche.

It's too hot here to not tint lol I didn't tint my windshield though, too hard to see out of with polarized glasses.

I don't wave because Tacomas are the most common vehicle on Guam, my arm would fall off within half an hour.

Had to wave the other day.

Was at a stoplight on a 4-lane road.

    I'm heading North....stopped at light.

On the other side of the light each lane had a Taco. Left lane was a silver 1st Gen dc. Right lane was an MGM 2nd Gen dc. We each waved.

Aside from that.....there are so many Tacos around here that I can't even get outa my driveway without seeing them. Neighbors beside and across from me each have sons that drive lifted 2nd Gens....guy three doors down has an MGM 2nd Gen....popular trucks....for a reason.

I usually just flip other taco drivers off when I see them.

I only wave when on trail- also do it at jeeps - it always confuses them! o_O

Yeah, and often while offroad it was usually a cheers with a cold one in a hand since we didnt have air conditioning in my first Toyota 4x4’s- it was even legal to do with a real cold one within reason back then!

Just waved back to a 2nd gen this morning. Actually it was more of a lift fingers off the top of the steering wheel kind of wave, but effective enough. I’m driving a manual and require BOTH hands!

Being in Hawaii the answer would be...... no. Because every other car is a Tacoma. In a 30 minutes drive you will see on average of about 50-70 Tacoma. Not even exaggerating. I have gotten a couple waves but just from people in the same color truck (quicksand).
